I wanted to address Dawn’s comments on the number 72, which she put up on the site last Monday. (thank you Dawn!)
“By examining similarities in mythology and religion across many cultures and times, many of them shown to be thematically related to the story which eventually became Hamlet, they promulgate the idea that ancient, prehistoric human culture wasn’t simply inarticulate superstitious people making up tales by the campfire. Their central thesis was that there was an educated class of people in prehistoric times who encoded their teachings, specifically astronomic, in the language of what we read as story and myth. Possibly because of retelling by people who don’t understand what they’re saying, much of this comes to modern ears as story and folktale. The number 72 is specific as it has to do with both the precession of the equinoxes and the amount of time that the star Sirius is out of view in the night sky every year. It has long been my belief that mythology, which much of astrology has ties to, is actually closer to Truth than anything we can find manifested in our world today.
All of astrology is based on the “mythologies” that have guided our consciousness from the beginning of time. I personally believe that our soular system itself is the reflection of our collective consciousness, and we have watched it expand to 30 times the size it was just 10 years ago. Of course, it hasn’t REALLY expanded, our consciousness has expanded to be able to perceive what we could not perceive before.
This is just the same as a myth. I have said many times lately the we are moving into new territory that promises to turn out to be our ‘original’ territory. I have heard from so many of you who say that this statement resonates greatly with you. What was ‘in the beginning’ is what has always been. We have taken our MIS understanding of the Truths and distorted them, due to the fear that arises out of the simple state of separation, and we have lost sight of the original Truth.
With regard to the equinoxes and the fixed stars. .. ALL of them move one degree every 72 years. They are not actually moving, we are. 72 years =one degree of the cycle of life (the circle) in galactic measurements. That is why when a fixed star “appears” to move to a new degree, it makes a big difference…. it changes everything.
We lived through the ingress (entry of the fixed star Regulus from 29 Leo into Virgo a few years ago. That changed everything. The movement of Sirius to 11 Sagittarius does not have the same amount of impact, because it remains in the same quality of our consciousness (aka sign) as before, but as I so often print the meditations of Ellias Lonsdale who devoted so much of his consciousness to the significance of each degree of the zodiac, we already realize the importance of them.
Ellias is not the only one to do this…. Dane Rudhyar did it when he created the Sabian Symbols, which is another version of applying meaning to the degrees of our consciousness. 72 years multiplied by 360 degrees = 25, 920. This is the actual number of one soular day. That is, that’s how long it takes for our Sun and our entire soular system along with it to move around the Central Sun one time.
References to this journey, and to our Soulars system can be found everywhere in the bible, which is not so much a religious text as an effort by some who were still in touch with the essential Truth to put it down on paper. They wrote it down and then the patriarchy set about deleting all the significant references to the divine feminine.
All of this is being restored to our consciousness now, and this has everything to do with Sirius, which is a central guiding star to our very existence. Sirius is at the center of everything that exists here on Earth, only is a much higher dimension. The more we connect consciously with that fixed landmark, the more conscious we are capable of becoming.
There will be much more about Sirius in the weeks to come. That star always becomes focal in the Summer time, as many of you know…. I could probably write a book about this topic of how astrology and its myths bring us closer to the Truth than anything. That is what I believe Cosmic Consciousness is …. and why astrology can be such a powerful guidance tool for our evolutionary journey into the awakening that is taking place at this time.
