March 2019 Cosmic Consciousness
Welcome to March the 3rdmonth of this watershed year! There is much activity this month from beginning to end: Mercury begins his retrograde, clarifying and refocusing our thinking and communications systems; and Uranus, a higher octave of Mercury, one of the “inner outer” planets of our solar system, enters a new sign. We begin the start of a new season, as the Sun moves into Aries, which, in Cosmic Consciousness, is where we first enter the mental quadrant, the spark of Divine Creation. The higher Self is realized through the vehicle of the higher mind, which is Christ Consciousness. As Mercury travels backward towards Source this month, exploring and recalibrating our mental capacities through the lens of unlimited possibility, our capacity for Self-realization becomes grounded in our physicality and our connection to the Earth. In 5D the heart becomes the root chakra; we bring in Love purposefully and diligently to activate the higher mind, opening a gateway for the divine spark of something new to manifest.
As the third month in this 12/3-year, March holds the space of expansion, abundance, self-expression, inspiration, joy, mastery, and creativity. It represents the energies of the triad, the Trinity, a sacred triangle (formerly trine) where all parts work together harmoniously, creating a portal that brings forth manifestation of desires through allowing the descent of Spirit into the mental plane. There Source-based faith in action becomes consciously directed intention. The active initiating force of new beginnings of the “1” combines with the receptive, germinating energies of the “2,” resulting in the “3” vibration of physical manifestation. The triangle is the ancient symbol for the element of FIRE. We talk about the creative fire within, that when expressed outwards, spreads warmth and light and inspiration. Aries, the Divine Spark, is a Fire sign. In the Motherpeace Tarot the “3” is represented by the Empress, who gives forth love, life and connection, and who knows how to manifest what is needed to survive and thrive on the physical plane.
March’s Energies
Chiron delivers us to Uranus, higher realization. As we heal the wounds within, the resultant energy that gets freed raises our frequency, enabling us to See and experience a higher perspective in a flash. For a few days (3/1-3/6) both Chiron and Uranus occupy the same quality of consciousness, Aries, at opposite ends, lighting up the entire field, which includes Salacia and Eris. Any Aries planet in the birth chart will be activated, awakened, prepared for rewiring and mastery. Salacia deals with the way we play with dark and light, like sunlight glistening on the ever-moving waves of the sea. Eris is the disrupter, the gradual realization that arises from below (or within) and changes everything. The Sun is the only planet that enters Aries this month, shifting our collective consciousness from the spiritual to the mental realm, where we can begin to master our thoughts and what we pay attention to. As we bring the conscious discipline of Love into the higher Mind, we raise its frequency and capacity for wholing and alignment, and there is no limit to what we can create.
The story of March includes Mercury’s retrograde journey, which begins on 3/5 at 29 Pisces, refraining from entering the mental realm and the sign of Self-realization. Our thinking and communication systems need to review everything that has been brought up from the core of our Being through Chiron’s lessons of mastery and alignment. All the clearing we have done will begin to make sense as Mercury travels back to and past Neptune before resuming direct motion. It seems there is much to integrate before awakening, understanding and enlightenment occurs. It will take till the beginning of April for a new beginning of clarity to manifest, but even longer for true Knowing to make itself felt, when Mercury regains his shadow and enters Aries on 4/17.
March is filled with Pisces energies as both Mercury and the Black Moon move back and forth through the sign of Spiritual Wisdom while Vesta and the Sun continue forward. There is a New Moon in Pisces on 3/6, and Venus enters that quality of consciousness on 3/26. This is the month to take what we have learned about Self-Love and apply it to the way we interact in the world. In the Pisces part of our consciousness we learn to face fear and doubt, embrace and accept it, moving beyond it to realize the Truth of our limitless nature. This month we are committed to swim in the ocean of possibilities, devotedly and intentionally applying unconditional love to any doubts, hesitations and trepidations, bringing a high degree of faith to every action, knowing that it is all for our highest good.
Where Mercury usually travels through 2 signs, and Venus only one, this month the heart remains focused in the spiritual domain, traveling through the signs of Self-Love (Aquarius) and into faith in action (Pisces), while Mercury inhabits Pisces all month. Mars enters Gemini, bringing action to the wisdom of the higher Mind, manifesting that wisdom into our very cells, and the Sun joins Chiron in Aries.
But the big news, with the most profound effect, is the transition of Uranus into Taurus. For the next 7 years we will receive glimpses of the Truth (or maybe some stark illumination as well!) regarding the consequences of the collective disregard for our bodies, the environment, the Earth, and our humanity. More and more we will find our Selves aligning with and integrating the higher frequencies, and opening to the awakening that brings, engaging our expanding intuitive capacity and allowing it to deliver us to our higher Selves. Uranus’s first connections in Taurus involve Varuna, Black Moon Lilith and Venus. From the highest, broadest perspective we can view the inner and outer shadows and their Truth in the higher Order of things, and bring compassion and Love into the picture.
Black Moon
When the Black Moon dances with an archetype (planet) she seems to bring up the Truths that lie within. Her oscillating cycles move her back and forth over the same planets depending on the energy field (sign) they occupy. Each time Black Moon conjoins the planet more of the Truth is revealed. Lilith is dancing between Aquarius and Pisces and will continue this dance for the next 6 months, revealing the ways in which we block our capacity for Self-Love, and our fears around our own limitlessness and power. This month Black Moon enters Pisces, conjoins Neptune and Vesta before going retrograde, then repeats those aspects and resources Uranus. She backs into Aquarius for her 1stmeeting with Venus, and then goes direct there. Now that Lilith has pulled out all the stops to bring the Truth to us, we are preparing to bring that Truth to our hearts and work with it, shifting through the illusions and misconceptions that obscure its Light.
March Highlights
3/1 The first day of the month is a powerful one with so many aspects. Venus and Uranus form a closing stepping stone at the master degrees of Capricorn and Aries, which in Cosmic Consciousness are the Power signs of the spiritual and mental realms. This is the point where everything that the Venus Uranus cycle has brought to our evolution begins to manifest in the outer world as people, places or things that require our conscious attention. Hearts are opening, and those of us holding the Light will need to be mindful now. This stepping stone is part of the Grand Power Crossroad, with Pallas Athena, the Moon’s nodes and Haumea, resourcing Chiron and Sedna; the wisdom and mastery we access here will go a long way to healing the Divine Feminine in all of us. The Venus Uranus stepping stone is the last aspect for both planets before they switch signs.
Venus then enters Aquarius, disposed by Uranus, and begins a month of bringing Love to the places within us where we have been hurt, taking down the shields that prevent us from shining the Truth of who we Are.
When we tap into the frequency of unconditional Love, we broadcast it everywhere around us and into the future, and it spreads like wildfire.
3/2 Chiron is the master Teacher/Healer who delivers us to our higher Self (Uranus). Venus in Aquarius resources Chiron in Aries today — the first aspect for both planets in their new signs. The newly awakened heart is resourcefully preparing for recalibration and wholing in the weeks ahead. Venus makes a Lightbridge with Varuna, opening a vantage point where all we can see is Love.
3/5 Every time Mercury goes retrograde we sharpen our capacity to think and communicate with Love. Today’s retrograde station occurs at 29 Pisces, where Chiron spent his last few weeks, bringing up our deep core issues for clearing. We are due to reevaluate and shift how we think about these core issues, diving deep to process and make sense of them. Since it occurs on the World Axis degree, everyone on the planet will be working with these energies; much compassion and faith in action will be called for in the next few weeks. When Mercury stations, mental clarity and focus are highlighted. Today’s Vesta Neptune new cycle also marks the beginning of a triple conjunction with the Sun, Vesta and Neptune, traveling together for at least a week, signifying our devotion to clearing the illusions and resulting confusion from our consciousness.
3/6 Today there are 4 major events that would each be hugely significant on their own; that they all occur on the same day (and almost all in Pisces!) speaks to our readiness to wake up to the limitless possibilities inherent in our Being, face our illusions and shift our thinking, and bring new awareness and intuitive power to our consciousness.
At 3: 27 am Uranus enters Taurus, the place in our energy field where we learn to shed our fear-based attachments, where we become as grounded and present as a tree, reaching towards the heavens and connecting to the Earth. We manage Taurus’ energies through the heart, and Venus is the dispositor of Taurus. The mechanism of Mental Love is the intuitive function that comes from the heart. When we connect with our inner guidance and allow it to move us, there are no doubts or questions, attachments or drama. The heart knows what to do. Uranus’ entry into Taurus resonates with Albion, Mars and Sedna; while the Great Awakener journeys through Taurus we awaken to our true beliefs and values, and learn to Love with the Mind.
The Pisces New Moonat 15 Pisces 47 takes the masculine and feminine dispositors of the spiritual body to a new cycle of spiritual wisdom that results in right action. When heart and mind, intuition and intelligence are integrated and balanced we master the capacity to act with total faith in divine order, and every action is the right one. Neptune disposes the New Moon, which is conjoined by the Vesta Neptune new cycle, providing clarity and intention as we work to transform limiting tendencies into mastery of our Selves. Both Mars and Saturn resource the New Moon and the multidimensional God-star Sirius manifests with it. We have access to divine inspiration, combining a grounded presence with the capacity to act with integrity and authority. The Venus MakeMake manifestation brings home to our hearts the divine edict that Love is the Law.
Mercury is stationing during the New Moon, and begins his journey backwards towards Source a few hours later. The Great Communicator resources the Earth Star Chakra (S. Node), Pluto and Saturn, Chariklo and Arawn in Capricorn, conjoins the Sun in an inferior conjunction (3/14) and Vesta in a new cycle (3/17) and meets Neptune for a 2ndconjunction (3/24) before going direct on 3/28. Clarity will manifest with a Neptune new cycle on 4/2. In addition, Black Moon manifests with Haumea and squares Sedna. The Sun Neptune new cycle conjunct Vesta tops off a very active, life-changing day.
3/7 The Sun Vesta new cycle at 17 Pisces occurs just as the Black Moon enters Pisces for the 3rdtime. This new cycle resources Saturn, igniting our passion for honesty and integrity in social interactions. With the Black Moon in Pisces there are 4 planets at 0° of sign, including Chiron, Uranus and Varuna.
3/11-3/14 Black Moon Lilith begins her new dance with Neptune today at 16 Pisces. Black Moon goes below the surface to show us the Truth of who we Are, and this pas de deuxwill allow us to put our faith into action based on real Self knowledge. Black Moon conjoins Vesta again (#8) on 3/13; she goes retrograde at 20 Pisces and meets Vesta for the last time in a new cycle at the same degree on 3/14. It’s as though Vesta hands her off to Neptune for a new dance. Our devotion to facing the fears that come with being in uncharted territory has resulted in our readiness to open to the beauty and limitlessness of the Soul and become enLightened.
3/14 The Sun Mercury inferior conjunction marks the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde. An inferior conjunction means that Mercury and the Sun are aligned, with Mercury in between the Sun and the Earth. When these 2 planets come together our human capacity to communicate and connect is revitalized and recharged.
3/15 Where Jupiter is located we find expanded social consciousness and great wisdom. Jupiter manifests with Eris today. Jupiter is the Truth Seeker and Eris is the Female Awakener. Look for some expression of Truth to bring disruption, especially in the social arena. This collective awakening will do much to clear old stuck patterns of beliefs and social interaction, and deliver us to a new awareness and ultimately a new belief system at the heart level.
3/17 Black Moon retrogrades back to Neptune for a 2ndconjunction today. Mercury makes a new cycle with Vesta only 5 degrees away from Neptune, making for lots of activity in the realm of unlimited possibilities. Mercury makes a resourceful aspect to Mars bringing the mind/body connection into focus. The messages from the intuitive part of the Self, which comes from a balanced mind and heart, can be felt in the body.
3/18 Both Pallas and Haumea are retrograde, and they join for their 2ndconjunction at 26 Libra. We get another opportunity to access the wisdom of unity consciousness and see it reflected in our relationships.
3/20 Vernal Equinox: Every year when the Sun crosses the celestial equator (the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator) from south to north we in the Northern Hemisphere enter the Vernal (Spring) Equinox (or autumn in the Southern Hemisphere). Astrologically the Sun enters Aries, which, in 3D astrology, is considered the start of the zodiac, representing new beginnings, one’s individual effect in the world, new life.
In Cosmic Consciousness, the Spring Equinox occurs in the Divine Masculine Portal of Truth that connects the spiritual realm with mental realm; it’s here that the energies of Spiritual Power, Love and Wisdom of the last 3 months descend into the realm of Mental Power, into the heart chakra, where they can be directed into our higher Mind (Christed Consciousness) with the application of conscious discipline. The resurrection of Spirit comes from remembering it in our thoughts, which must become our discipline; only then does it become so automatic that it allows the spark of Creation to touch and enLighten us; we become channels of divine Light.
The Sun’s entry into the Aries quality of consciousness today at 5:58 pm marks the 1stquarter of the Earth’s passage around the Sun. Aries is disposed by Mars, making the next month a time to take action based on loving thoughts, letting Source move through us, trusting in the process of manifestation and laying its foundation using all the talents and gifts in our possession. The smallest action that comes from the heart creates a shift that reverberates in the whole.
A few hours after the Sun kicks off the new season, the Moon enters the opposite sign for the Full Moon in Libra. Because it occurs so close to the equinox at the world axis degree, this lunar event will reverberate through the entire spring season. In the Full Moon chart Scorpio is on the ascendant with Haumea rising. We are awakening to our part in the Whole and it’s transforming our vision. The Sun conjunct Chiron and the Moon conjoining MakeMake highlight the growing awareness of the divine Laws that permeate everything. The dispositors of the spiritual body make connections with the energies of the Uranus Varuna square as well. It would not be overstating to say that this Full Moon is life-changing.
The Finger of God involving a Mars Sedna resource to Vesta, pointing to Pallas and Haumea (with Eris within it) underscores how we are evolving towards unity consciousness. It is significant that 9 planets and points are located at 22-24 degrees of their signs, including Venus, Vesta, Eris, Mars, the Moon’s nodes, Arcturus, Jupiter and Pluto, making connections to each other. 3/22 As mentioned, Uranus and Varuna square each other, and this opening square becomes exact today. The highest viewpoint can yield sudden realizations that are uncomfortable. Conversely, as we awaken we catch glimpses of a higher perspective. The Sun Chiron new cycle promises a new beginning of Self-realization that allows for Self mastery.
3/23 The Sun meets Salacia in a new cycle at 3 Aries. Now that we are aware of this new archetype, which is the feminine essence of the ocean (representing e-motion), we can shine a light on the places where darkness makes it easy to see the Light and see how they interact.
3/24 Today is a busy day, beginning with a Black Moon Uranus resource that will do much to bring awareness to the shadows she uncovers. Black Moon reenters Aquarius for another dose of divine feminine unconditional Love. Retrograde Mercury and Neptune conjoin for the 2ndtime and Jupiter makes a great eliminator with the Soul Star Chakra (N. Node). It is time to clear misconceptions and old thought forms, choosing to see the common thread that runs through all of us. Our evolution depends on it.
3/25 Black Moon conjoins Venus for the 1sttime today. What shadows of the heart will be revealed? The Mars Sedna new cycle reaffirms Mars’ role as the co-dispositor of the divine feminine, the part that acts from the heart’s knowing. This is the original mechanism of the universal Divine Feminine, and it has been fully restored.
3/26 Today’s Sun MakeMake Lightbridge provides a perch from which to observe how divine order is sustained through the working of the immutable laws of consciousness, Love, unity and nature. At the same time Venus enters Pisces, taking the heart into the realm of Spiritual Wisdom, where she is most comfortable. Love knows no bounds; it is beyond limits. Love is the Law, the cosmic energy that sustains Reality. Nothing exists without Love. As of today, both mind (Mercury) and heart (Venus) share space in Pisces’ vast energies until Mercury enters Aries on 4/17.
3/28-3/29 The next 2 days are filled with changes in planetary direction. On 3/28 Mercury stationsat 16 Pisces, resuming direct motion on 3/29, as Black Moon goes direct at 22 Aquarius. When Mercury goes direct we gain some understanding of the issues we’ve been working with, and communicate those realizations with others. Black Moon continues her dance between Aquarius and Pisces, uncovering Truth wherever she finds it. Ixion begins a 5 1/2 month retrograde at 29 Sagittarius on 3/29; we get to review our purpose for being here, and reflect on new ways to fulfill that purpose.
3/31 Mars enters Gemini, the sign of Mental Wisdom, the quality of consciousness where we take loving thoughts of the higher Mind, connect it with the intuitive wisdom of the heart, and express it as Love in action through right action and speaking Truth. Mars in Gemini calls the mind/body connection to our attention for the next 6 weeks, strengthening it and reminding us that every thought gets expressed in the body, making it imperative to quiet the mind and get centered in the heart, and listen to our body’s intuition.

Like February, in March there is a lot of vibrational movement with planets changing signs and directions, especially with Uranus entering Taurus. Where things seemed to be shifting back and forth, now there is a sense of moving forward, as if propelled by the wind. With so much Piscean energy available this month, unlimited possibilities abound. We get to know our Self better and go beyond the limitations we impose on our Selves.
This month can be exhilarating or challenging, depending on whether we can be open and flexible, or contracted in fear. As we move through uncharted territory we need to observe whether we are motivated by Love or fear in whatever we do and do so with honesty. We will know we are coming from Love when we give without question of what we get back, or when we engage in an activity that totally resonates and feels right and there is such joy that it just expresses spontaneously. If we give in to fear and pull back, the energies will feel difficult. One practice to consider if we feel stuck or fearful is to engage the energies by moving our bodies, propelling our Selves through space, breathing deeply.
This month we are meant to face our shadows honestly, with compassion and forgiveness, work with them and let them go. In this way we allow the energies to move through us and expand us. There is much change being manifested this month; we are called to actively choose to be calm and centered, trusting that a higher purpose is being served. When we remember to place our Selves on our favorite observer’s perch we will gain the higher perspective needed to work with the energies of the month.
Your task is not to seek for love but merely to seek and find all of the barriers within yourself which you have built against it. It is not necessary to seek for what is true, but it is necessary to seek for what is false. Every illusion is one of fear, whatever form it takes. And the attempt to escape from one illusion into another must fail. If you seek love outside yourself, you can be certain that you perceive hatred within and are afraid of it.
