Cancer brings us into the power of the emotional body, and invites us to go deep and feel our feelings. It matters. If we’ve been taught or conditioned to cover up, suppress, override, ignore, or deny our true feelings, we may find discomfort in times of emotional sensitivity, personally and collectively. While Cancer tends to prefer comfort, connection, and nourishment, there is also a fiercely powerful quality to the sensitive channels that can remain deeply present as the floodgates open to a wide river of emotion. The key is not to get taken out by the river, but to open the heart with compassion while observing and tending to the river. Water needs permission to move, water will seek freedom through the empty spaces, and an empowered caretaker/care giver can hold space for the rising water that seeks release, in order to maintain the cohesiveness of the current that restores peace. When we learn to surrender and receive divine support, we can go with the flow and honor the current instead of using our personal power to stop the current, block the flow, or stagnate the water. There’s a choice point here for empowered movement that honors and supports evolutionary expansion vs fear based stagnation that blocks or denies the natural flow of the river.
Underneath any emotion (anger, rage, frustration, depression, hurt, grief, loneliness), there is Love. If we can’t (or won’t) allow ourselves to acknowledge and feel the moment to moment ebb and flow of emotions (ours or another’s), we can’t get to the Love. There’s power in our capacity to feel what’s current, without identifying or labeling ourselves or each other in the story or narrative behind the emotion. Emotions can open the heart, and deliver us to a space of Compassion, radical acceptance, and Self Care. When we care for ourselves, at the Heart of our Soul, we can move mountains from the momentum that rises up, fully empowered, as Love. No matter what emotion we’re experiencing, wholeness is reclaimed, restored, and transformed by observing it all without judging, controlling, ignoring, or suppressing. The heart of Love unlocks the habitual patterns and beliefs that bind us to the past, releasing a greater momentum, rising up as pure power.
Cancer represents Emotional Power, and the power of the heart to go deep into the roots of any foundation, finding the pulse point of Truth (Light), finding what matters most, and addressing any core issues that need tending to. Qualities of support, nourishment, comfort, and fierce care are available here, prompting evolutionary growth, abundance, and expansion….and it’s important that we learn to empathically care for ourselves, to tune into our deepest needs, and feel empowered to address what needs attention, even when it’s not comfortable or convenient. If we can’t/won’t care of ourselves, nobody else will. And if we ignore ourselves in order to care-take for others, that neglect can build resentment or fester feelings of unworthiness, insecurity, or self abandonment. Feeling empowered to stretch beyond our current comfort zone of familiar patterns is required in order to make a new choice.
Mercury is still retrograde for another 9 days, as we all are navigating a deep inward journey through the inner operating system and messaging system of our emotional body. Whatever is coming up for review is being illuminated for an evolutionary upgrade, an empowered perspective that can shift the conversation we’ve been living in, and find a higher octave of Love. The way we speak to ourselves matters, especially when sensitive emotions are high. Empowerment must become our native language, the way we meet ourselves and each other moment to moment, and encourage the momentum to rise up from the depths, moved by the wide open heart. Being willing to speak from the heart, communicating our deepest needs and desires is critical.
This New Moon in quite literally opening the floodgates to the power of the heart, inviting our intuitive, empathic sensitivities to tune inward, to hold space, nurture, care deeply, and get to the bottom of any blockages, stagnancies, or hurts, in order to recognize what matters most. There is liberation and freedom in the willingness to move beyond our traditional comfort zones and safe places, in order to break free and expand in our true nature. The heart holds the seed of the Light of Soul, ready to awaken, grow, expand, and thrive…flowering and flourishing in all dimensions. Deeply supported, rooted in Oneness, cherished and held sacred, on behalf of All.
The New Moon in Cancer sets the themes for the entire wormhole/eclipse passage, including the upcoming nodal shift on 7/26, the Aquarian Full Moon on 7/29, the Lion’s Gate Portal, the Solar Eclipse on 8/12, Lunar Eclipse on 8/28, and the final deliverance from the wormhole to a brand new alignment at the New Moon in Virgo on 9/10 (the Uranus station). Anything can happen in this accelerated portal of evolutionary awakening and divine remembrance. The best way to travel is through the heart, at the seat of Soul. Trust the process, allow the waves to facilitate momentum, and find peace within the stillness of the heart.
