We are in the wake of the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces that activated dramatic events prior to the actual Eclipse on Aug 27 PDT. Dolly Parton transitioned on Aug 25, triggering an outpouring of love for our national treasure whose warmth, impact and generosity transcended generations, social classes and cultures. Then on Aug 26, a catastrophic flood in the Nepal/Tibet border destroyed communities with many souls missing or dead and this tragic story is still unfolding.
It seems that people are either experiencing a breakthrough new beginning after a meaningful release from constricting circumstances or they are dealing with heaviness and challenges. Maybe you are just living your life, not really feeling anything out of the ordinary.
We each have our individual paths, dictated by our personal astrology and alignment with our Authentic Self. The Eclipse energy will be in effect for many months, so focus on the story that’s unfolding for you. Can you feel where are you being led?
If you are stuck in a role or way of operating, you may receive a shock from the Universe to jolt you into action — or to shuffle the deck. That is typical Eclipse and Uranus energy, all active today. But Uranus is also part of the Minor Grand Trine that created the powerful Cradle aspect, so it can break up stagnant energy and move you toward something beneficial.
Aug 28 – Mercury square Uranus, Sun square Uranus
Mercury and Sun each square to Uranus, planet of liberation and the Higher Mind. You can be proactive and make a change if there’s something you’ve been wanting to do or try. This could be your day to take action. You may hear surprising news, receive a message or download a genius idea that shifts the playing field for you.
This speaks to activating, doing, being, thinking or saying something offbeat, wild, radical, out of character for you or just out of the box. Authenticity is the goal, rather than conformity or living on autopilot, which won’t work anymore. Do you dare to speak and live your truth, especially if it’s in conflict with current values and relationships? If a curveball comes at you, it’s all about how you respond and regroup in response to it. Bottom line: To thine own Self be true.
Aug 31 – Jupiter trine Saturn
Optimistic Jupiter has high ideals, sees possibilities, the big picture and wants to expand your horizons. Saturn makes the plans, creates the structures and the practical strategies to implement the vision held by Jupiter. But it must be doable. This is a profound combo that supports stable growth and will meet again in April and July ’27, so it’s in effect for a prolonged time, running in the background. You will have opportunities to make steady progress as a result of your organization. That’s the requirement — Good Orderly Direction.
Sept 1 – Mars square Saturn
You may experience this in one of two ways, or both. Maybe there’s a delay, an extra step you need to complete or a conflict that must be resolved. And if there’s a challenge, it’s likely something you are avoiding because it’s uncomfortable. Whatever it is, you’ll probably have to deal with it if it comes up for you. Do the work, face the music. This is Saturn’s world.
Or you may be working to build something that takes extra effort and is not a quickie. Saturn is happy to take baby steps as long as they are practical and focused, leading to a lasting long-term result. Maybe you’re creating something that is a process and you are engaged in that effort. This is a positive manifestation of the hard work necessary (a labor of love?) in order to create something valuable and successful. It’s not easy, but it will be worth it.
Sept 1 – Mercury sextile Mars
Mercury in Virgo is crystal clear, simplifies and has the facts in order, including the details, whereas Mars in Cancer is propelled by feelings to act. This duo is helpful for decision-making, sales, self-expression, paperwork and mundane tasks.
Never underestimate the mental focus of Mercury in Virgo to organize, gather info and create a spreadsheet for optimal functioning. This will help you navigate any challenges you face from the Mars-Saturn square, so when in doubt make a to do list and get clear about the steps you need to take to fulfill your goal.
Following this we don’t have another major aspect until the Eclipse Wormhole closes on Sept 10 with the New Moon in Virgo, while Uranus turns Retrograde and Venus and Mercury change signs. We coast for days and will then have an avalanche of dynamic activity to launch a new beginning — and Mercury will leave Virgo, so utilize it while it’s here. Get your ducks in a row while you have the wherewithal and the space.
During the days ahead, focus on where you’re being guided intuitively and take aligned actions. The more you open to new ways of being and transcend old rigid thinking, rituals and roles, the better. This is a monumental task and yet it’s simple, but it requires mindfulness to not stay in unconscious ways of operating that don’t serve you.
Awareness is required to feel what’s weighing you down or holding you back. If you notice something, see what you can shift to make a change. Even a baby step is helpful to create a new neural pathway.
