The First of two Sagittarius Full Moons in a row occurs today at 5:15pm EDT. Aside from the fact that this lunation is the start of a Blue Moon event (culminating on the next Full Moon June 20), this is one extraordinary full Moon for many more reasons. The Sun entered Gemini yesterday, and today’s full Moon brings us fully into the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity. In classical astrology, this polarity was known as the knowledge and understanding connection. In Gemini we would seek and gather information, in Sagittarius we would come to understand it at a higher level. We have had at least 12,000 years of this practice and now, with Mercury, ruler of the newly upgraded higher mind and Jupiter, expander of wisdom, this polarity represents the new capacity for awakened consciousness, and this is the first time we get to take it for a test drive.
