AN UPDATE FROM  STEPHANIE: I am recovering slowly but surely, still having some trouble with my eyes, waiting, according to doctor’s orders, another few weeks to see if things get better. The sabbatical I’ve been on is doing me a world of good. I am feeling far more buoyant and hopeful for the future and what it holds. I am incredibly grateful to Shelly for holding down the fort for me as she has, and for all the others who contribute to the site on a regular basis.
UPDATE FROM SHELLY: There have been some changes in the Cosmic Consciousness website. Cari Campbell is our newest addition to the CC family, and she has written the latest Libra Full Moon report, the first Full Moon of the season. If you haven’t already done so, please give it a read. Meanwhile, Bernice Kadatz, who has been writing the Full Moon reports up to now, has graciously written about the Spring Equinox. You can find her report in the Cosmic Consciousness Corner by clicking here. Don’t miss it!

Venus has just finished her new cycle with the Sun, and she goes on to conjoin Ceres in a new cycle. While they commune the Sun manifests with the Great Attractor, the same aspect Venus made only two days ago. Venus is the midwife, who assists the birth into a new chapter of being. What’s being (re)born today is the heart, entering into new territory.

How we handle emotions is undergoing a new beginning. We are learning not to get lost in them or let them rule us. At the very least we are learning to become aware of them and engage with them, to accept and find any underlying messages that need to be addressed. Doing so we are learning to open space for Love to fill. Our hearts are tuned to higher frequencies now, and the open heart transforms us and raises our vibration.
Mercury enters Aries, joining 7 other planets in the sign Cosmic Consciousness refers to as Conscious Discipline. The divine spark of creation is active, and to have it reach its highest potential the mind must be disciplined to think thoughts that will enhance creativity, eliminate negativity and align itself with the heart. It is no coincidence that the heart begins a rebirth today.
Here are Ellias Lonsdale’s mediations for the Venus Ceres new cycle and Mercury’s ingress into Aries, reprinted with the author’s permission from his book Star Sparks:

Aries 17:        A bodiless head asleep on the beach.

(Venus Ceres new cycle)
“Being shown by Spirit. Remaining in a state that in ancient times spoke volumes, yet which we have silenced in modern times. Projecting this deep core attunement forward to link with multiple futures, but in the now, withheld from the outer action, only able to muse, to fathom, to link realm with realm.
Possessed of faculties both rare and prized. Inwardly granted intact variants on every way of perceiving what we have lost tract of collectively. Given a path to walk which taps these powers, but in a most unusual way.
We must dream into each situation, create it from within, meet it as something arising as a mystery script, a secret revelation. If we wander away from these sacred territories into a more mundane expression, the risks are great. We don’t know what we’re doing out there at all. We only know when the primal link is hot to the touch, fully active on the inner.
We are sorely tempted to betray this birthright. Anything would be better apparently then the bleak isolation of dwelling outside the common comprehension altogether. But the sad part is that we have nowhere to go, nothing to do.
If we can convince ourselves to become quiet and receptive, to wait and tune in and be deeply open, a vast panorama opens before us. We are invited to be the few who sustain the bridge. For we are the ones who can keep every link alive. As we devote ourselves to such a contemplative orientation, we become at last at one with ourselves, even across all the gaps and fissures.
Once we are at one with Source, the bleak, stark spaces turn around. We are in a rich fertile soulscape, with ready access to any domain we are meant to tap and explore. Perhaps we might even permit ourselves to move way back inside and uncover the most vital and relevant places missing and sorely lacking, the ones that center on totality in living freedom.”

Aries 1: A man repairing and extending a stone wall in the spring.

(Mecury enters Aries)
“He sticks to the task. He stays in the here and now. He does not want to know anything about the past, or anything about all the complex connections you can make between one thing and another. He is intent on freeing himself from the mind and becoming a will being, an effective agent of change.
He will seek the most straightforward and outwardly unremarkable of contexts and ways to do it. He is allergic to complications. He wants to get to work. He wants to see results. He wants to stay naïve to the overall factors that others insist upon.
He has this notion and he is right on it. His notion is that somebody around here should do what is needed, get down to it and shut up. He has heard enough to last forever. All he can believe in now is what works, what advances things, what moves the energy somewhere interesting.
His skills, focus, and aim are incredible. When you’re this intent upon one thing only, you get it straight. And he loves that sensation of getting it right, of being on.
Yes, he does like others to notice. Yes, he does feel fervor. He’s got an attitude. There are lots of things he doesn’t like. This is someone who has a very particular point of view and a very particular direction in life.
When you are a rough, straight arrow and not very sensitized to the nuances, you can indeed get yourself in lots of trouble. But when you are willing to work hard and are good at second winds and taking it to the next level, you can easily outlive your own folly. Bangs on the head are nothing here.”
