Full Moon in Aquarius

August 9th, 2025, 3:55am EDT

The Full Moon occurs at 17 degrees Aquarius, which means it is disposed by Uranus, the Great Awakener.  Uranus is very busy right now…newly into Gemini, he is forming a stepping stone with Pluto, manifesting with Mars, and forming a resource with Saturn and Neptune.  What this indicates is that the larger themes that have been playing out in our lives and in society as a whole will impact your emotions and inner world.  Maybe you will feel the stirrings of transformation and feel hopeful and energized or feel the tension from Pluto’s insistence on change.

Aquarius, the water bearer, is the sign of spiritual, unconditional love.  It is where we open to oneness, where we understand that nothing is truly separate from us.  There is no “out there” or things happening to us; it is all for us, by us, as part of a greater whole.  As such, we may be feeling more emotionally free, not because we feel suffocated and demand freedom, but because we realize the only things suffocating us were our own selves.  This realization alone is life-changing!

Venus and Jupiter (preparing for their new cycle at 14 Cancer), and the Karmic (South Node) are forming a boomerang yod with the Moon and the Sun.  Whatever is arising between Venus/Jupiter and the Karmic Node will be moving us to act.  The Moon is our focal point in this yod so take care not to emotionally react due to whatever arises.

This lunation is very asteroid and 5D Planet heavy.  Ceres and Salacia in Taurus are forming a bridge with Vesta and Juno is Scorpio.  This in turn is creating a crossroad with the Moon, (straddled by Pallas Athena and Chariklo) and the Sun.  Ceres is the midwife and Salacia (wife of Neptune) is a strong divine feminine presence who knows her own worth.  On the other side of the bridge is our fire and devotion (Vesta) and Juno, representing partnerships, loyalty, and empowerment.  Pallas Athena lends wisdom and strength to our emotional selves and Chariklo soothes was is hurting.  These two flanking the Moon give us the emotional strength to make needed changes and to move in a new direction.

This crossroad feels remarkably empowering.  Yes, it is possible to feel yanked in different directions, but all of the directions lead back to something beautiful and grand.  It is, however, always a good idea to get centered and grounded when faced with these cosmic intersections.  Stand in the middle and take in all the scenery before making decisions.

The Sun is the only component from the crossroad not cohorting with a feminine goddess.  This indicates that aligned action is what will move the energy along.  Recall that the Sun in Leo is also the release of the tension from the Yod with Venus/Jupiter and the Karmic Node, so this confirms that bold, brave action is needed at this time.

Given that Uranus is disposing this lunation, it is very possible that we will be led down a path we weren’t expecting.  Maybe, with the stepping stone from Vesta and Juno, we decide to de-commit to something or someone.  Or maybe we commit to something entirely unexpected!  (This could be that bold, brave action!)

Boiled down, this lunation offers plenty of intuitive insight and perspective.  When we realize that everything “out there” is a reflection of “in here”, and that all is connected, we can get centered and access peace.  While insight, opportunities and distractions are coming at us from every angle, the abundance of divine feminine energy will help us get clear.  From there, the energy of the Sun propels you to step out into the light and take aligned action.

Here are a few journaling prompts to honor the Full Moon in Aquarius:

Where am I ready to birth a new version of myself, even if it means a disruption of old commitments or identities?

Where in my life am I giving away my power by viewing situations as happening to me, rather than for me?

What old patterns or ways of being are conflicting with my heart’s desires?

What unexpected invitations are showing up, and how would it feel to say “yes?”

What would aligned action look like right now?  What would I do if I trusted myself completely?

Finally, here is a meditation idea based on Stephanie’s guidance to stand in the center of a crossroad when you don’t know which path to take:

Sit comfortably, and breathe in deeply for a count of 5, hold for a count of 6, exhale for a count of 7. Do this until you feel centered and calm.

Now imagine yourself in the center of the crossroad.   Begin to imagine taking different paths.  Feel the sensations in your body when you walk down one path.  After exploring that path, come back to the center of the intersection.  Take some grounding breaths and re-center before exploring a different option.

Really pay attention to how each road feels in your body.  Your body will tell you what you need to know.

You may explore each road more than once, by exploring how it feels to go down a path now. Then explore again how it feels 6 months from now. How does it feel in a year?  2 years?

Note which feels best in your body.  Sometimes it can be surprising that a path that you think you want to take turns out to not feeling so good after a period of time.
