Veiled in shadow, the Black Moon’s face is hidden from view. She takes no
pleasure in her dance this week. No time/space left for hiding and
dissembling; the truth will out. The heart is unsettled and words find their
way past all cautioning. The heart must be held with tenderness, the
gateway to spirit must be held open. With each breath, let love fill every
cell in your body. Isolation is forbidden, though much work must be done
on the inner planes. In Unity, one cannot be one or the other; one must be
both/and. Step forward with head held high, hearts open and trusting. The
Sisterhood of the Divine Feminine watches, guides and guards.

For the Week of January 28, 2019

This morning I awoke with the dawn, that first ray of sunlight on the
horizon peeking through my window. That image has stayed with me
throughout this morning and I am convinced there is good reason for it.
The Light is showing itself. Is it the Light at the end of the tunnel? Call it
what you will but the Light is here. The shift is unstoppable now. Thanks
to Venus and Jupiter, there is a palpable exhale of harmony and peace,
regardless of external events.

The Sun has traditionally been a masculine principle, strong, powerful and
dominant, but I think it appropriate that it is the dawn that has the spotlight
here. The Divine Masculine is resurrecting and redefining himself. No
longer the aggressive and angry warrior, he now takes his place at Her
side as partner, wise councilor and mate. He has learned from his past
and stepped into the wisdom of maturity, much as She has. They have
both learned that it only works together as equals.

The Sun now represents both of them standing together in their glory and
the power of Wholeness and Unity. The Sun represents the Divine One in
active mode, while the Moon now represents the Divine One, Masculine
and Feminine balanced, in receptive mode.

Dawn and dusk also represent the balance of night and day. Here we have
a brief glimpse of masculine and feminine individually as they move to
harmonize the the polarity of one or the other. All are in equal balance now
and the hours of the day reflect that. The hours of the day endlessly play
out their dance of Unity, forever merging. Together and yet individual,
reminding us of strengths and attributes that have joined so joyously
together.

And so the Sun woke me this morning with its message of Union. He is
here now and we can watch for Him to play His part on the world stage,
both as partner and councilor. Pay no attention to the final temper
tantrums of the Wayward Son. His part is foreordained as well, and what is
more, he knows that to be true.

Welcome the United Sun and the United Moon into your heart, where they
both belong. The rehearsal is over, folks; this is it. The dawn came today
to wake us up and remind us to pay attention. Be vigilant in all you say
and do, being sure your words and thoughts come from the heart and are
in integrity. The mind must partner with the heart from here on in – yet
another partnership we have learned to embrace!

For January 21 – 27, 2019

I am overwhelmed by the sense that the “big change” cannot be made until He comes to stand at Her shoulder.  I have spent time meditating on the Haumea Uranus bridge and that is not what keeps pulling at me. I literally cannot get the images out of my head.  She is reunifying and taking her place of love based power.  No question about that but we cannot be whole until the masculine and feminine are balanced.  For that to happen, the Sacred Masculine must step forward and right now He is still hovering in the back, all but invisible. The Wayward Son will not change by himself so there has to be more.  There has to be that moment when both Masculine and Feminine align in power, and not in quiet silence. Not behind the scenes. But out front and in our faces.  I keep watching for it “out there”and I see hints of it, but not enough for me to go “Ah! There it is.”   We have so many strong feminine archetypes to work with now.  Where is the Divine Masculine in all this? Certainly, we can call out names (Mars, Uranus, etc.) but they seem to be doing what men, good men, are doing here – standing back and watching.  Something more is coming and every cell in my body, every voice whispering in my heart, says “Get ready.  It is almost here.” 

(I started this as an email to Stephanie and then I heard this answer to my question:)

He stands at the ready, awaiting only the proper moment, to step forth at a Her side.  This is her show, and He knows it and honors it.  He has been fractured as much as She over the many years and now struggles to unify what his heart tells Him with what He has been told.  His anger dissipates and loss is left behind. A weariness and a loneliness He did not know He carried.  A hesitancy that He is unfamiliar with and struggles to identity.  

Open your hearts to Him. Welcome him home and allow him the room to re-member who he is.  And when the time comes, as soon it must, open and the door and insist He take his rightful place at Her side.  This is power not born of taking, of greed, but power born of union, of being more than self focused. He does not know yet how how to recognize this new power, this new knowing, this new way of Being.  It requires courage and individuality rather than pack mentality. And yet, and yet, once this power is acknowledged, true meaning and connection with others will replace the concept of pack.  There is no alone any more.  There is only All-one.

She leads the way, but He must stand at her shoulder.  Only in Unity can the New Age 
begin.

For the Week of January 14, 2019

Self care… Here is a buzzword concept we hear about regularly but have
any of us really thought through what that means? I recently was slapped
up the side of the head regarding self care, thanks to a sideways elevator
with a peculiar sense of humor.

Following a state to state move a year and a half ago, I found a local
chiropractor who was a natural healer. She helped a great deal until she
didn’t. Her life was in shambles, and recognizing another healer, she
attempted to ameliorate her own pain by offloading to to a empathetic ear.
Yep, me. While my body felt better-ish, I found I came home with some of
her stuff attached to me. I knew better, of course, but I have discovered
that I am not always aware when I pick up other people’s stuff. I have
been in this field for 40+ years and I am still surprising myself.

Last fall, she began to have so health issues and took time off from work
about the same time life around here took an interesting turn. Health
issues popped up, family issues resurfaced, a beloved pet passed away
and then the holidays were upon us. After the first of the year, I attempted
to make an appointment with this woman and was saddened to discover
that she had passed away.

My own health issues continued so I looked for a new chiropractor and
stumbled, with the help of that elevator, into my Next Right Step. I found
not just a chiropractor and a massage therapist. I found healers who walk
the talk, and finding that is not as easy as it sounds.

The difference between the two chiropractors was readily apparent. The
first one was a natural healer who lived a life of uncontrollable chaos (her
perspective). The second one is a joyful, heart filled, spirit led healer who
sees the connection to herself (as without, so within) in what she practices.
The difference is self care. The first doctor had no idea how to care for
herself, how to allow herself growth and awareness, even as it knocked on
her door. Every bit of her angst was turned inward to herself as she
shouldered the burdens of her family and life. That had been her pattern
her whole life, she told me. It was clearly making her unhappy and yet
she spoke of her life with pride.

The new doctor speaks of joy, of time doing she things loves, of the
rewards of being in service to healing. She speaks of spirit and love.
It took me having my first session (the figurative head slap) with the new
doctor to see the mirror the first doctor was. During this session I was
lovingly told to stop carrying the weight of the world and to forgive both
myself and others. She put her hand on my back behind my heart, and I
sobbed. Stuff from years past came up, new stuff came up. A whole lot of
stuff came up.

Now let me tell you that I am no stranger to therapy and doing my own
work. I dedicate myself to this field and I walk my talk. Except when I miss
something….

And I missed a big something. Somehow, over the last few years, I lost
the idea of self care, at least for me. I thought I was taking care of myself,
but I clearly wasn’t.

If I asked you what self care is, I bet you would all say things like eat right,
exercise, sleep well, and so on. You wouldn’t be wrong necessarily but I
bet you missed the same part I did.

Self care is about doing something for yourself out of love, not out of
obligation or the idea that it is the right thing to do. Self care is what you
do for yourself to give yourself some love. I knew a woman who – when
the going got tough – took a half an hour and watched kitten videos.
Those videos made her happy and allowed her heart to step into place.
When we do “have to’s” like exercise and eating right and so on, we are
listening to the dictates of our mind, not our heart. We live entire lives of
“have to”. Now, I know there are many who get great joy from exercise
but I ask you to pay attention the next time you work out. Head or heart?
Self care returns you to home and your heart. It doesn’t have to take up a
great deal of time but find those things that feed your heart and allow it to
breathe and communicate with you.

I share this with all of you because I am there too. My life had become all
“have to” and I was losing my balance. Worst of all, I was so caught up in
it that I didn’t even see it, despite having some health issues whose
messages could not have been any more clear.

And those that guard and guide me, now that I am listening to them about
this particular issue (they roll their eyes at me), tell me that in these
troubling and changing times right now, self care is essential. It is the
most loving gift you can give yourself. Find those things that make your
heart sing and allow yourself their gift, even if only for a few minutes. Our
Lights cannot shine very brightly if we are not taking care of them.
Self care is the choices you make, the time you give yourself, the ways you
support yourself, and the kindness with which you treat yourself. You have
to nourish to flourish, so go be good to yourself.
