The Architecture of a New Civilization
Today Jupiter reaches 4° Leo, completing one of the rarest planetary configurations ever observed in modern astrology. Known as Barbault’s Basket, this extraordinary geometry was first recognized by the brilliant French astrologer André Barbault, who spent much of his life studying the great planetary cycles that shape human civilization.
Barbault devoted decades to developing what he called the Cyclic Index—a mathematical model based upon the changing distances between the outer planets. He observed that periods when these great evolutionary forces compressed together often coincided with humanity’s deepest collective crises, while periods when they expanded into new geometric relationships coincided with profound cultural renewal.
His work led him to one remarkable conclusion.
Following the extraordinary compression of the outer planets that culminated in 2020—a period that unmistakably coincided with a global turning point for humanity—(namely the Covid 19 Epidemic) – he anticipated that their gradual expansion into what he called the Basket would herald what he described as “a splendid relaunch of civilization.”
