Pictures of doorways have always fascinated me. The mystery of what I might find on the other side and the temptation of entering a portal to somewhere magical calls to me. In the last few years, I even began to collect these pictures in a file. I also started a book of poetry called “Doorways.” At the beginning of 2024, it seemed very clear to me that this year is my Year of Doorways.
Many years ago, in a very powerful vision, I was shown to a doorway leading to a vast room filled with angels reflecting a radiant and enveloping love to me. Warm and welcoming, I yearned to step through. However, I was still living in my wounding in those days, and so, in my fear, I chose not to step through that doorway.
Throughout my life, I have come to see opportunities, conversations, movies, books, the people around me, words, songs, every single thing I encounter, as a message that provides a doorway to something new. This is a year of discovery, as I consciously welcome these doorways and utilize the gifts they present. When I encounter a Doorway moment, there is an actual visceral bolt of energy that occurs, drawing my conscious attention to that moment of awakening and its subsequent next step.
This morning the Doorway that showed up for me was the word Arrive. I was playing a word game and “arrive” was the answer. It literally zapped me right between the eyes and told me to listen.
Arrive. A beautiful word, isn’t it? The end of journey, end of a purpose, end of a commitment, all of these and so much more are contained within this one word. All implying that *something* has been fulfilled or accomplished.
And yet….also the perfect word to describe a doorway into the new. To arrive is to begin, to move past what has lead you to this point in time/space. To arrive is to welcome that radiant light that heralds the magical first step forward, the welcome insight, that sudden understanding.
To arrive is to understand Union as it encapsulates both endings and beginnings, allowing greater understanding, a widening perspective and spiritual expansion.
Humankind is now at a long awaited Doorway and all are being asked to step through. The Patriarchy is falling and the union of the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine is at hand. Only one pathway leads forward.
I stand before this doorway and gaze upon the breath taking vista before me. I am surrounded by stars, the doorway is golden before me. Through the door I see happy people, speaking kindly to one another, I see gardens overflowing with vegetables, fruit and flowers. I see peace upon the faces of the people. I hear laughter and see small children playing. I hear happy dogs barking as they play. I feel my own heart relax, my lungs breathe deeply and release long held tightness and a smile touches the corners of my mouth. I remember this and how it feels to be open, to come together with others out of sheer joy. The people before me beckon, encouraging me to step through and I find, to my astonishment, that this time I can’t wait to do so.
