That was quite a Libra New Moon on September 28 —with the seven planet/point stellium (grouping) comprised of the Moon, the Sun, MakeMake, Venus, Mercury, the Fixed Star Arcturus, and Haumea. It was intense because there were via combusta energies involved. Also called the fiery way, the via combusta refers to planets and points between 15 Libra and 15 Scorpio degrees. This may have seemed like a “trial by fire,” or a transformative experience, depending upon how we relate to “the other” in co-creating our reality at the individual, community, national, or global level. It may have felt as if we were “looking through a glass darkly.” Some of the co-creation was clear and some may have seemed distorted and hard to find the boundaries of what issue is ours and what belongs to someone else. The reality is that it is hard to tell the difference unless we are using the observer’s perch. And that takes practice.

The passage between the New and Full Moon takes us from the recognition of the “I am you and you are me” experience back to our Selves, and it is here where our individual experience begins. Consciousness needs relationship for life as we know it to manifest and exist. And relationships revolve around all the dualities that we experience on Earth.

The Aries Full Moon is in polarity (opposition) with the Libra New Moon, and it is not easy to travel from the individual to the collective, or vice versa. It takes individual courage (Aries) and encouragement from others (Libra) to be motivated to create, build, and experience relationships, and then to let them pass away when the time comes. From the 5-D Unity Consciousness perspective/observer’s perch—all relationships are by definition born in Love, and return to Love, regardless of whatever feelings are experienced along the way.

The Full Moon is at 20 Aries, and is disposed by the planet Mars (how we are motivated) at 6 Libra. Mars is conjunct MakeMake (where we experience universal laws) also at 6 Libra. The symbol for Aries is the spark or individual flame. This represents the awakening of our Higher Minds, where we realize that our thoughts are not the sole result of our social and physical environment, but are rather something wholly unique to each of us. We recognize our thought processes as integral to ourselves and yet capable of independent imagination and logic. This moment of awakened awareness is akin to the moment where a dark room is illuminated by light, no matter how tiny that light may be. Once the light is ignited, it spreads throughout the room.

All light travels, and Aries is where we first experience this movement. The Full Moon — the flowering moment of everything experienced from the last New Moon — is conjunct Eris (our inner disruption mechanism) at 24 Aries. When we become Self-aware and allow our thoughts to have true freedom, we may discover some that we are quite uncomfortable with. The Moon represents our emotional bodies, so we may feel motivated to make changes in how we feel about our relationships to people, things, and ideas as a through the disruptive energy of Eris.

Vesta (where we find devotion) at 26 and Sedna (our connection with the co-creation energy through the ages aka the Divine feminine) at 28 Taurus are in intimacy with the Moon (semi-sextile). Evidence about the extent of plastics permeating all water and air on Earth is in the news. Both the archetypes that Vesta and Sedna represent remind us of our individual roles in creating this condition on Earth, which is unprecedented (plastics being a human invention). The Moon is also in manifestation (trine) with Jupiter (where we expand) at 20 and Ceres (where we midwife new awareness) at 18 Sagittarius. It is actually possible for all of us to change our behavior. We do not know the outcome of our consumption habits on life on Earth and on ourselves, but we are about to experience the impact on a much wider basis than we have thus far.

The big event of this Full Moon is a potent Power Crossroads (grand cardinal cross). This is formed specifically by four planets, all of which are also accompanied by stelliums (a grouping of 3 or more planets and points in the same sign). This adds strength to the quality our Consciousness represented by these signs: Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn. The Aries Full Moon and Eris are in a Light Bridge with the Sun (our core Conscious identity) at 20, the Fixed Star Arcturus (scientific technology and innovation) at 25, and Haumea (where we co-create Unity Consciousness) at 26 Libra. The disruptive feelings we experience are can be channeled into productive action if we are willing to make the journey along the Aries (individual)/Libra (collective) polarity.

Crossing this is the Light Bridge between Pluto (where we transform) at 21 and Chariklo (where we stabilize) at 20, Saturn (our inner authority) at 14, and the Earth Star (South Node of the Moon, where we encounter our karma) at 12 Capricorn. This grouping provides the impetus for lasting change at a fundamental level.

The other side of this polarity is formed by Astarea (where we find the purity of the Divine Feminine) at 24, the Fixed Star Sirius at 14 (where we encounter the wisdom of the Masters), and the Soul Star (North Node, where we work with our dharma) at 12 Cancer. There is real wisdom and inspiration available to us once we recognize the need for transformation.

This Power Crossroad will stimulate all of us to move and make changes. Some of these may be small and some large. A Crossroad is comprised of polarities and stepping stones (squares) the latter of which provide considerable opportunity to step up and do something new. The Aries part of our Consciousness is incredibly optimistic and positive when we recognize and embrace it. If we recognize ourselves at the center of the Crossroad then it does not matter which of paths we take. In each we will experience the stepping stones: the Moon to Pluto, (transformation of our feelings); the Sun to Pluto (transformation of our Self-Identity); the Sun to Astarea, (recognition of the Divine Feminine as part of our Selves); or the Moon to Astarea (our feelings about the purity of the Divine Feminine as nurturer).

We can focus on one path, or take all of them at the same time. What matters is our attitude toward how we navigate each of the possible pathways. The thing to remember is to embrace any change that presents itself as an opportunity to try an entirely new approach. We can be public about this, or quiet—it does not matter. What does matter is that the Aries spark of light is igniting the opportunity for change. No matter what your individual astrological profile might be, each of us contains the Aries quality of Consciousness in our Selves, and we only need to embrace this for it to work for us.
