New Moon Solar Eclipse

The Full Moon in Gemini on December 12 certainly generated enough stimulus to have our heads spinning, amplified, of course, by the worm hole. The purpose was to repeatedly remind us to go to the central still point, again and again. This is a dance we have with what we perceive of as the natural worldâŠour Consciousness is finely tuned to the movement of the Moon. The Moon, of course, is our shared social archetype that lights up how our feelings flow, in a regular and predictable phased cycle. Most of us seriously believe we are in total control of how we feel and will not stand for anyone to tell us otherwise. With a mindfulness discipline of some kind, over time, we see that our feelings dance to another rhythm, and it is our task to both observe and participate in this process, repeatedly. Not to become adept, necessarily, although this is possible. The objective is instead to have the experience and take joy in it, even though emotional flow over time may be at times uncomfortable.

When the world feels topsy-turvy, our central point of stillness-or the central point of gravity brings us back. It is not always comfortable, but it is what we need to do. The purpose of the emotional spinning is to exhaust our old stories and explanations about why things are the way they are. The Truth is we never know because there are endless combinations of what is happening right now, what could be happening right now, and what was happening right now. Our experience of time on Earth is a linear experience of past, present, and future, and there could be other permutations of time that we do not yet comprehend. Thanks to our Gemini quality of consciousness, we certainly have been treated to many different perspectives over the past two weeks.

We have now changed seasonsâthe Winter Solstice was on the 21st– and this New Moon includes a Solar Eclipse, where our understanding of our ego self-identity takes a short hiatus, and we can tap into our true Self. The New Moon is in the Capricorn part of our consciousness, represented by the mountain. Capricorn is disposed by Saturn (where we access inner authority) at 21 Capricorn and is exalted–completely at home. This is where true mastery lives because our Higher Self executive functions reside here. There is a sense of magic and mystery in the air because these are Source energies. They are easy to recognize because they are what we consider to be sacred and they both evoke and provide recognition of the inner teacher. A Capricorn New Moon is a perfect opportunity to reaffirm this connection.
The Solar Eclipse takes us on the first âsideways elevatorâ experience, and we do not know where this will take us. However, there is a giant stellium (grouping) of planets and points in Capricorn during the New Moon, which points to significant social consciousness change. Capricorn creates structure through authority, rules, and social norms., When a stellium is this large, all the planets and points are working to support the primary message. In this case, it is fostering a true new beginning about how we identify (the Sun) with authority and social structure and how we feel about them (the Moon) on a personal and communal level. The Quaoar/Moon/Sun/Jupiter conjunction is enough to create something quite new for each of us if we tune into this incredible expansive energy. Quaoar brings in thought forms that have no precedentâthey are not natural developments of our life experience or history. We can get an entirely new perspective about something that we think has been shaping our lives. The involvement of the Earth Star and Ceres signifies that we have all participated in creating space and all have a nurturing role to bring in this new idea. With Pluto, we know it will be fundamentally transformative, and the Centaur Chariklo provides stabilizing energy to help what comes through remain in our consciousness. We have no idea what this new expansive idea will be aboutâwhat we do know is that it is a game-changer.

In intimacy (semi-sextile) with the New Moon is Venus (how we love) at 7 Aquarius; bringing us to the realization that all Love starts with recognition that we are unconditionally worthy of LOVE at all times, no matter what. We are born in LOVE and we pass from this dimension to the next in LOVE. In a wide resource (sextile) is Neptune (where we are inspired) at 16 Pisces.
The New Moon forms a Grand Manifestation (grand trine) with Uranus (where we awaken) at 3 Taurus and the Fixed Star Regulus (courageous heart consciousness) at 3 Virgo. There is an easy flow of energy supporting transformative ideas that change the way we relate, live, and function on Earth.

The New Moon/Earth Star is part of a Grand Power Crossroad (cardinal cross) formed by the Light Bridge (opposition) with the Soul Star (Moon North Node, where we discover our dharma) at 8 Cancer. This brings up the issue of how we replace the old division between patriarchy and matriarchy forms with literally a new incarnation of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine. Classical ideas about the feminine nurturer and the male authority are changing before our eyes. Forming the Crossroads are Chiron (where we whole ourselves) at 2 and Salacia (where we play with light and shadow) at 3 Aries bridging with MakeMake (where we discover universal law) at 7 Libra. As we allow our True Selves to be seen, we find there are innumerable variations on how we conceive of gender. This is changing society, globally, as we know it, including fundamental changes to language.

As with every Crossroads, there are many choices paths that could be taken, and we now know that any option will eventually lead to the same destination. This New Moon offers a major set of new directions for all of us. The Capricorn stellium promises an exalted experience, no matter where the wormhole takes us. We can take the time to tune into our inner teacher or seek inspiration from external teachers who help point the way to our own connection to Source energy. We are, after all, made of stardust.
