What a passage we have gone through—since the Aries New Moon on 5 April, where our consciousness was expanded anew to help us navigate this Full Moon in Libra. This is a moment where we can say that our comprehension of the known universe has completely changed, and it has done so with one somewhat blurry image. The black hole Powehi looks surprisingly familiar, like the renderings created by space artists over the years. The image was built from the precise measurements, complex coordination, and the shared vision of an amazing group of scientists that comprise the international Event Horizon Telescope project, their sponsors, and supporters. The last Full Moon on the Libra world axis on the 20th of March, just 30 days before this Full Moon, reminded us of what can occur on a global scale if the will and way is there to do so.
The Aries quality of consciousness, which we all contain within us, starts with the bright spark that comes from Source itself. We visited this part of our Selves during the Aries New Moon, and during the period of her passage to the Full Moon, the image of Powehi was made public. Here at the Libra Full Moon, we are learning to discern what Powehi represents. We do know a few things: this image is the result of a collective, sustained effort and there are more images to come, particularly of the Galactic Center black hole within our own Milky Way, Sagittarius A*. This image of Powehi, which looks so familiar, is our first collective touchstone for what the area around a black hole looks like. Whether through scientific examination or from individual meditation, we will, over time, discover what it means individually and collectively to us.

This Libra Moon can be considered a Blue Moon as it occurs 30 days since the last Full Moon in the same sign. These Full Moons bookend each other. This Full Moon is particularly potent because we have traversed the whole of our Libra quality of consciousness, from 0 to 29+ degrees. Libra is where we recognize that everything we experience is both an individual and shared projection. Individual because we experience it through our own lives. Collective, because on any given day we all project our consciousness cooperatively to experience duality and recognize our shared bonds. Libra exemplifies “so above, so below.” It is where we come to terms with the razor’s edge between individual and collective consciousness, where “I am you and you are me,” and “I am that.” We are both of these truths, simultaneously, and we slip between the two continuously. Libra creates balance between these perspectives so we can live out our life purposes and be with each other.

Blue Moons can create unexpected or rare events, hence the saying “once in a blue moon.” This Libra Full Moon is at the master degree—the 29th degree—of its sign, which brings to fruition the intentions that we brought forth with the Full Moon at 0 Libra on 20 March. The 29th degree provides a master test that we can take on if we are ready and willing. At this time, the test is our willingness to accept that we are as much a collective social entity as we are individuals going through our lives, having completely different versions of the same overall experience. It is significant that other than the Moon, there are four other bodies at the master degree, including: the Sun (our core identity) at 29 Aries, Venus (how we love) at 28 Pisces, Juno (how we experience Unity consciousness) at 29 Gemini, and Ixion (where we find out soul’s true purpose) at 29 Sagittarius. Self-Mastery is an important experience during this Full Moon, and Mastery refers to fully owning our experience. We may be challenged to stand up for what we truly care about.
The planet Sedna disposes Libra, and is the archetype that stands for the remembrance of the Divine Feminine’s role in the development of human consciousness. This is the “being” part of ourselves and it is the other side of the equation from the “doing” part. Sedna is where we store all that we have experienced and know of, for all time. Sedna is currently transiting at 27 Taurus, and provides a deeply grounding anchor to the Libra Full Moon, tying our newest global insights into our experience on the Earth, and making them stick.

The Moon is part of a stellium (grouping) of plants in conjunction, adding further dimension to the Full Moon experience. Haumea (where we generate Unity consciousness) is at 26 Libra, the Fixed Star Arcturus is at 24 Libra, and the asteroid Pallas Athena (where we access wisdom) is at 17 Libra. MakeMake at an early 4 Libra adds as focus on universal law. The Unity consciousness we experience is stimulated through the scientific breakthroughs we are watching, and we are able to approach these with more wisdom than otherwise might be anticipated. Jupiter (where we experience social consciousness) at 24 and Ixion at 29 Sagittarius provide additional resource (sextile energy) to the Full Moon, providing the sense of a heroic journey to each of us. Our daily journey through life is always heroic, and this is easily forgotten in the routines of life. Each of us walks a razor’s edge daily between illusion and awareness. Our allegiance to this heroic journey is amplified with an assist by Juno, manifesting (trining) the Moon at 29 Gemini.
However, the main event occurring during the Full Moon involves the ongoing Power Crossroad (grand cross). The Libra Moon stellium described earlier is bridging the Sun at 29 Aries along with Eris (the disruptor) at 23 Aries, Uranus (the awakener) at 2 Taurus, and Astraea (the balanced female) at 6 Taurus. Strengthening the stellium are Vesta (where we generate devotion) at 8 Aries, Salacia (where we play with shadow and light) at 4 Aries, Chiron (how we whole ourselves) at 3 Aries, and Mercury (how we communicate) at 3 Aries. This Libra/Aries bridge gives us new perspectives on how we choose to present ourselves to others. Crossing this is the bridge formed with the Earth Star (South Node) at 21 Capricorn, conjunct Saturn (our inner integrity) at 20 Capricorn and Pluto (the transformer) at 23 Capricorn. The Earth Star is bridging the Soul Star at 21 Cancer. We are asked to look at our past and use what is true to create the future. Most significantly, the bright light of the Libra Full Moon will illuminate each of the four paths forming of the Grand Crossroad. Between each path is a stepping stone (square), which we can use to leap over any limitations we feel. We each sit in the center of Grand Crossroad, and we can travel each of the paths at once, or try all four out individually. It will be a clear view, and it is one we feel we can share with others. There may be things we see that we do not like, and our task is acknowledge these, and use the dynamic energy present during this Full Moon to reframe and release all revelations. This is the beginning of new things that we will be able to see and we are ready for it.
