Full Moon Partial Solar Eclipse

2:21 pm EST

BOOM! That was the effect of the New Moon on December 26, with nine planets and points in Capricorn. The impact on our perceptions of authority, structure, and the Divine Father energy in our lives was riveting. If we stayed in 3D, e.g. in our egos tsk-tsking at events taking place around us, the experience might have felt a bit disillusioning. If we used our internal observer’s perch, our perspective would have been far different, seeing anew ways to reshape the path we are on, individually and collectively. In Cosmic Consciousness, Capricorn is where we directly access Source energy. This is where we tap into our Higher Consciousness, realizing that we are the authors of our own lives, regardless of what we attribute to others, starting with our mothers and fathers. When we work with Capricorn, we are empowered, and as such, we work with the sense of the sacred in all things. We approached the new calendar year through the Capricorn New Moon on December 26, while in a wormhole.

We now move to an extraordinary Full Moon in Cancer, with a partial Solar Eclipse. Let’s unpack this a bit….with the Full Moon, the Capricorn and Cancer qualities of our consciousness are in polarity. This is where we encounter the duality of the father/mother. No matter what age we are, we are always working with Divine Mother/Father energy. Our parents provide us the first lens through which to perceive this energy, and we experienced this LOVE through the conception/birth/growth process. Our first perceptions of LOVE from our parents are what we carry through our lives, continually testing them through our experiences. If you will, these experiences shape our most closely held ideas about what Home feels and looks like.
Home is that sheltered place of utter relaxation, safety, and belonging. It starts as an inner space and is manifested in the physical. It is the Alpha and Omega of our physical human experience. We are born into the body and we leave the body when we transition. We all create a physical structure we call home which we fill with people and things we love. Whatever we call it, at the end of the day we all long to experience our connection to Source (Capricorn), and we catch glimpses of it when we tap into the inner space we call home (Cancer).

Cancer is the seat of our emotional experience. It is the space from which emotions flow, stimulated by our feelings, triggered by experience, particularly our core experiences of LOVE as an infant. No matter what our life experience, birth on this planet provides everyone with a first taste in physical form of unconditional LOVE. How long that experience last is the storyline each of us chooses for our lifetimes.

The Moon is completely at home in Cancer. Our emotional experience feels natural and normal here. The partial eclipse to the Sun (our core identity) means that the focus will be a bit less on justifying our feelings, allowing us instead to just let them flow through us. We can be transported to the sacred, the profound, through our emotional experiences if we let them flow, no matter what they are. Our feelings have a moment of ascendency during the Full Moon and during the passage to the next New Moon on January 24.
The Moon is conjunct the Fixed Star Sirius (where we experience Divine Wisdom) at 14 Cancer, and the Soul Star (North Node, where we encounter our dharma) at 8 Cancer, stationing. We are in a wormhole, and the eclipse provides a sideways elevator, taking us into new territory. Both Uranus (where we wake up) at 3 Taurus and Eris (where we disrupt ourselves) at 23 Aries are stationing, so we can expect the unexpected, both in the external world and also in how we really feel. The stationing Soul Star, Uranus, and Eris are like a pause, where we have the opportunity to experience the purity of our feelings in full., and be ok with this.
Orcus (where we experience our immortality) at 12 Virgo is in resource (semi-sextile) to the Moon, fueling that sense of profundity, integrating though our lives if we allow it. Manifesting (trine) with the Moon is Neptune (where we find illumination) at 16 Pisces, providing a stream of insight if we are open to it.

Most significantly, the Full Moon is in polarity with the Capricorn Sun and eight other planets and points. Mercury (how we communicate) and the Sun have an exact conjunction shortly before the Full Moon event, which spotlights how we communicate authority and nurturing within ourselves and then to others. It will happen quickly, and we need to be attentive. This conjunction allows us to get a glimpse of how we talk to ourselves and then to others—are we empowering or stern?
This is what the Capricorn stellium (grouping) looks like. It starts with Quaoar (where we find new thought patterns) at 4, the stationing Earth Star (South Node, where we work with our karma) at 8, Jupiter (where we expand our consciousness) at 9, the Sun and Mercury at 20, Ceres (how we midwife the new) at 22; Saturn (where we access authority) at 23, Pluto (where we transform) at 23, and Chariklo (where we stabilize) at 24. This stellium in polarity with the Full Moon is breathtaking and will be life-changing for everyone, starting with our core mother/father experience and how we manifest these. Do we see the Divine Dance of the Creation in everything, or are do we feel victimized by our own life story and the external world? Epiphanies are on tap for us during this Full Moon.
The Moon is in a stepping stone (squaring) with Eris, so be prepared to feel disrupted in some way during the Full Moon. Also in a stepping stone with the Moon is Juno (where we encounter Unity Consciousness) at 19 Libra, the Fixed Star Arcturus (scientific innovation) at 25 Libra, and Haumea (where we create Unity Consciousness) at 28 Libra. There will be plenty of stimulus to remind us that we are continually creating the world we experience.
The Light Bridge formed by Eris and Juno/Arcturus/Haumea is in polarity with the Cancer Moon/Sun Capricorn stellium, creating a Grand Power Crossroads (cardinal cross). This crossroads will feel very dynamic with plenty of movement. We will see this externally because of the structure that Capricorn provides and we will feel it fully, because of the Cancer Moon.

Remember, with a crossroads, we can travel down any path and still stay centered in the middle. It does not matter which experience we choose to have in any given moment. We could feel fully disrupted one moment, followed by a sense of unity and wholeness, only to have our authority challenged, or feel empowered, and then feel completely comfortable with everything. It could feel a bit kaleidoscopic, where the picture is constantly changing. The Cancer Full Moon will take us Home, if we let it, giving us a chance to radiate out LOVE to others and the world. What a great way to start the New Year!
