MERCURY ERIS STEPPING STONE

This Mercury–Eris square is a process that will take about six weeks to complete. Normally, a Mercury square passes through the field in a day or so, offering a challenge, a realization, an adjustment, and then moving on. But Mercury is preparing to station retrograde at 26° Cancer on June 29, which means this square to Eris becomes a three-act story. The first contact occurs now and continues for two days, the second occurs on July 2, during the retrograde journey and the third occurs after Mercury has recovered its direct motion and returns for resolution on August 6.
This tells us that whatever Mercury and Eris are reflecting cannot be learned in a single conversation. It must be lived. Mercury in Cancer represents the mind learning to feel. Thoughts are no longer abstract. They are connected to memory, belonging, safety, family, ancestry, and emotional truth. Mercury in Cancer asks us to listen with the heart as much as with the intellect.
