For the next few months Saturn (security, tradition) and Uranus (change, rebellion) will square each other, as you feel the pull from the past and the future – and the Full SuperMoon this week will highlight these ongoing “labor pains” that continue to midwife the New Earth.

On Aug 7, we begin the day in the dreamy Venus trine Neptune creative, spiritual flow of bliss and Divine Love, perfect for romance, communing with nature, loved ones, animals and art. By mid-day Mars squares Saturn and you may be faced with a reality check or some frustration. Plan your day accordingly and handle anything challenging methodically, with patience.

The annual Lion’s Gate portal peaks on Aug 8, as higher frequencies are available that allow you to evolve, heal, integrate and connect to your Spirit with greater access and less resistance. Attune to higher realms, be in solitude, connect with your Higher Self and trust the messages you receive during this sacred passage.

Self-doubt is the mental block that interferes most often with awakening and fully embracing spiritual empowerment. The antidote? When you get an intuitive “hit” or message, just trust it. Consider this a science experiment until you get the hang of it and see what happens…

Also on Aug 8, the Sun trines Chiron, the potential for compassionate healing or further development of your spiritual gifts. Beautiful timing. Breathe it in, drink it in, mantra: “I am open to receive.”

The Lion’s Gate is followed by an intense opposition from Venus and Pluto that you’ll feel all night into Aug 9, that indicates a power struggle or challenge to your desires/values. Could have to do with intimacy, $$, unconscious triggers, but it will show you what (if anything) needs attention if a situation arises that ruffles your feathers. Pluto rules what’s hidden and activates your most vulnerable areas. Good for shadow work, healing, breakthroughs, honesty (the antidote for drama), and deep connections.

We close the week on Aug 11 with a mix of aspects on a Full SuperMoon (very close to the Earth, so extra-potent). First, the Sun squares erratic Uranus, shaking things up, creating stress and edgy nervous systems, sudden jolts or blindsides early in the day. Expect the unexpected, either personally and/or collectively. Move slowly.

Mars sextile Neptune softens the atmosphere with dreams, inner focus, withdrawal and is the antidote to turmoil when you direct your attention deliberately to spiritual practices and peace. Wu Wei means to flow around obstacles, which is a good idea today, especially as you connect with your Higher Self to stay above the fray.

Finally, the Full SuperMoon in Aquarius is at 6:36pm PDT. Aquarius is the future-oriented sign of independence, innovation, rebellion, invention, revolution, humanitarian causes and the Greater Good. The masses. It seeks liberation from restrictions so it can create from an unbridled space.

The Full Moon has Saturn sitting on it, creating an oppressive energy of heaviness, responsibility or pressure that indicates old structures, commitments, bonds, or vows that are in place being triggered by something new or rebellious (Uranus and the North Node squaring the Moon) that is trying to release or change it. This is the pull from the past and the future I was referring to earlier and the conflict is stressful.

Another scenario is wanting to recreate your life in some way but facing obstacles relating to practical issues such as time, $$, lack of training, plans, direction and you feel stuck. This is a time to see where you feel free and where you feel limited and to assess if that’s really true (the limited part) – or if it’s programming you’ve adopted that holds you hostage. Maybe there is work you need to do to prepare for the future you desire or to develop yourself and if so, focus on that.

Personally, Uranus and the N. Node are working to break you out of old patterns that keep you frozen in time and lower expressions of your evolving Self if you aren’t able to move freely. Collectively, Uranus and the N. Node are working to liberate us from old archaic structures that are deadening.

Look at your life and what you need to focus on. What needs to go, what needs work (Saturn), what needs to change (Uranus)? Be open to what shows up in your life, the messages you receive, the opportunities that come your way. Release expectations and be available for incoming energies.

We are in the wake of a highly charged Full Moon that had serious Saturn on it squaring Uranus activating the unexpected, and this was in fixed signs that resist change. As always, after a shock, reference points shift, like a snow globe that’s been shaken. Decisions are being made in response to recent events, either for protection or for the Highest Good.

Focusing on your Highest Good to guide you will keep you safe with a big picture view – more intuitive, expansive and objective, so you can rise above 3D drama. Operating from protection magnetizes lower fear-based energies when that is your overriding consciousness. Stay high, in the witness position. It will serve you well.

On Aug 14 there are two aspects with very different flavors. First, the Sun opposes Saturn, and you may have a reality check or face something you’ve been avoiding, encounter an ending or delay that slows you down or disrupts your plans. Trust the process and the way things unfold. With Saturn, it’s important to do the work and be patient – and if this pertains to you, you will know what’s calling for attention, a let-go or a decision. Resistance causes pain, so do your best to accept “what is” and move through it by being responsible and disciplined.

Next, Mars trines Pluto, giving you tremendous confidence, ambition and stamina to accomplish a goal, task, physical fun or sport, or to direct your energy to make an impact. This pair is can-do and unstoppable! If you have a mountain to climb, use this drive to propel you forward to completion.

On Aug 16 Mercury trines Uranus (higher octave of Mercury). This is stimulating energy for brilliant ideas, thinking out of the box and innovative solutions. A perfect day for networking and brainstorming with progressive types who appreciate novel approaches, strategizing for the future and using technology more efficiently. With Uranus, the Higher Mind is here to liberate you from your old thinking by going to new frontiers. Be original. Think: what is progressive for me?

Aug 18 brings Venus trine Jupiter, a warm, loving energy of indulgence and generosity, great for fun, romance, play, creative pursuits, shopping, style and receiving on all levels. Shower someone you love with attention and be open to receiving. If you’re a “giver,” receiving is a spiritual practice for you.

Another way of looking at the week post-Full Moon is a check-in to see where you stand.

• What is working, what’s not working? What needs effort from me and what needs to go?

• Did anything leave/end already? How does this serve me?

• What are my gifts that I can use to make an impact now (if I’m feeling it)?

• If there’s a delay or obstacle, am I willing to align with it, trusting in Divine Timing?

• What are new ideas, solutions, directions for a more progressive and Authentic expression of my life?

• How can I be of service? Who can I joyfully help without sacrificing myself?

• How can I allow myself to receive more? I wonder who wants to help me?

The action will pick up when Mars enters Gemini on Aug 20 for seven months and it will be busy. Plus, Uranus (liberation), turns Retrograde on Aug 24 and that will shake things up again, so this week is a good time to assess where you are and what you need in order to stabilize.

To set the stage: the July 28 New Moon energy of creative new beginnings still lingers and Jupiter is barely moving, enhancing its expansive power and reach, inviting you to Be, express and develop your Self, next level. Feel where you’re being called and take actions in that direction. Yes!

Uranus conjoins the North Node (Destiny) on July 30 – Aug 1 and because Uranus creates sudden change, something is bound to shift, either within or around you. Uranus can be an inner breakthrough or an abrupt reversal that you didn’t see coming, but because it’s on the N. Node, it’s leading to the Greater Good and evolution. Changes may have happened already, as this pair has been traveling closely over the past week, but now they are exact. Trust in this revolutionary liberation.

Guidance: focus on what needs to change in order to create a more Authentic expression of YOU. Uranus is your Authentic Self, your genius, your uniqueness. Go for that. Fitting in and playing small disconnects you from your spirit and your Light. That’s a high price to pay for others’ approval and the illusion of safety. Uranus is here to help you awaken to the truth of who you are.

Also on July 30 Mercury opposes Saturn and you may have a hard conversation, a decision to make or you have to clarify something. Saturn can require extra time, so you may get tied up or bogged down with paperwork or a tedious mental task. These things are manageable with focus and the aspect passes quickly. Mercury-Saturn can be negative thinking, pessimism, criticism, discouragement and fear of making mistakes, guaranteed to make life feel hard. If you can, shift into a higher vibration or get help for this. You don’t have to live this way.

July 31 is a full day with the Uranus-N. Node conjunction still calling you forward, followed by Venus square Chiron, that can open – or heal an old heartwound (if you’re available to heal). A Mercury-Saturn aspect can trigger a Venus-Chiron issue, in which you feel unworthy, unloved, less than. If it comes up, it’s to be recognized and healed so you can finally integrate the story you’ve been playing out in this lifetime. You are worthy and more than enough!

Finally, on July 31 the Sun trines big picture Jupiter, inspiring you to expand your horizons and live from your Truth. Not only does it connect you with your Higher Truth, it also gives you the confidence to know that it is meant to be yours! You can do it, be it, have it! Jupiter opens doors – and it is so positive, it overrides any doubts or logic that can block you from initiating action, as it rules faith. When you are truly inspired, you will be on fire!

On Aug 1, Mars (the warrior) catches up with Uranus and the N. Node and we have a triple conjunction with all three planets together. When Mars joins Uranus and the N. Node, it adds drive that can be proactively directed toward making changes, taking actions, creating a product, project or creation. Lower expressions: an impulsive risk, an adrenaline rush, physical danger or aggression, attacks or eruptions.

Because the N. Node is present, changes liberate you to discover new aspects of your Self or self-expression via a path you haven’t traveled – and probably never considered, that is ultimately for your Highest Good. Trust that. With the N. Node, you may not recognize where you are being led, but it’s all part of the adventure. Your intuition is your guidance system, and you will feel it when you’re moving in the right direction.

On Aug 2 Venus sextiles Uranus and Mars, a warm connection that brings togetherness and a little spice if you dare to do something different (Uranus). Venus loves peace and harmony, but Uranus seeks stimulation and offbeat experiences, so color outside the lines and take a left turn if you usually go right. This is fab for dating, relationships, socializing, creative exploration or an artist’s date. Venus sextile Mars is ripe for romance, art, creativity and socializing as well. This in the wake of your triple conjunction experience – let the emerging You 2.0 try something new!

Mercury enters its home sign of analytical Virgo on Aug 4-25. This will ground you and help to bring the untamed energies of the prior days into some kind of order, able to decide what is useful and what is not. Mercury in Virgo excels at making plans, handling details, creating strategies to solve problems, organizing and creating a Zen space. Use it well.
