Neptune

Neptune is not readily visible to the naked eye.  Neptune was discovered by mathematical deduction, very much like the recent revelation of the existence of ‘Planet 9’, which astronomers are currently searching for as the explanation for all those uniformly tilted orbits of the 5D Kuiper Belt objects. Recently, modern technology has given us much clearer views of the planet that was originally so ‘hard to see’. When the Voyager 2 flew by Neptune on August 25, 1989 it changed our capacity for working with this archetype forever.
We learned that Neptune’s atmosphere has active and visible weather patterns, which are  driven by the strongest sustained winds of any planet.  Because of its great distance from the Sun, Neptune’s outer atmosphere is one of the coldest places in the Solar System.
Neptune has 14 known moons, which are named for minor water deities in Greek mythology. By far the largest Moon is Triton, discovered by William Lassell on October 10, 1846, 17 days after the discovery of Neptune itself. Over a century passed before the discovery of the second natural satellite, Nereid. Neptune’s outermost moon Neso, which has an orbital period of about 26 years, orbits further from its planet than any other moon in the Solar System.
As the current outermost planet in our inner solar system, Neptune represents the current furthest reaches of our conscious Self-awareness. According to Wikipedia, Neptune is the fourth-largest planet by diameter, the third-most-massive planet, and the densest giant planet. It is 17 times the mass of Earth and is slightly more massive than its near-twin Uranus, which is 15 times the mass of Earth and slightly larger than Neptune. Neptune orbits the Sun once every 164.8 years. It is named after the Roman god of the sea and has the astrological symbol ♆, a stylised version of the god Neptune’s trident.
Uranus and Neptune are the two inner outer planets. They reflect our individual and collective journey to the higher Self, representing the awakening consciousness and the capacity for enlightenment respectively. Neptune has the capacity to lift veils and illuminate what Uranus reveals.
Neptune delivers us to those overwhelming, larger than life passages that cause us to grapple with confusion, escapism, delusion and deception, but that ultimately lead to crystal clear understanding, conscious awareness and compassion.
While Neptune represents the process of enlightenment it can also just as easily deliver us to confusion. We can be utterly disillusioned when we’re not ready to Self-realize, because the structure and density of the world we have created has to dissolve in order to deliver us to the void. We must be in the place where we don’t know what’s real and true, and we must surrender to the void of ‘no-thing’ and learn how to bring our faith to the experience. Only then can we begin to see what is True: to “see the Light”.
When Neptune first shows up, we tend to look through rose colored glasses in an unconscious effort to deny what is True in our life.  Escapism is often the choice we make when Neptune transits, and denial can produce some very long term detours. There are many 3D ways to attempt to escape our reality, but the true Neptunian journey begins only when we wake up and fully realize that we have been dreaming we can actually escape at all.
Once we have made the choice to take the path to the Higher Self, Neptune delivers an experience that is very much a tunnel-like passage. This generates a two year chapter in our life where all that we once believed was real tends to disappear, and everything that was once defined loses its substance. We feel we are left to walk alone through a long, dark stretch, without knowing what has happened. We take this journey, because there is no way to go backwards once we are on the path to higher consciousness, and along the way we learn all about faith and trust. About half way through the tunnel we may realize that we have begun to See. That’s due to the Light that comes directly from the heart, which opens as we learn to trust our Selves on the journey.
At some point the ‘Light at the end of the tunnel’ appears. By this time we have learned that there is no rushing this passage, and that we will reach the end of the tunnel when we get there. It is this emergence from the tunnel that is the culminating point of the entire Neptunian experience. As we enter the world again, we find it is nothing like the world we left behind and we ultimately realize that it reflects the new consciousness we have acquired along the way. This is true enlightenment… We come to realize that we all have this capacity, and our trust in our Self and Source deepens.  Neptune is the universal force that provides the means to enlightenment.
The Neptune journey is a major process. It happens when Neptune transits an important personal planet in the birth chart. And that is something that only happens once in a lifetime, once every 165 years, IF you have signed up for that journey.
Neptune is mythologically the king of the ocean. Astrologically, he has domain over that entire limitless realm. The ocean is the larger part of the Divine Feminine Gaia. Once we have attuned our higher Self to Neptune’s vibration, we are able to work with this archetype to access the part of the Divine Feminine that has been lost to us for so long. The Divine Feminine is being restored from centuries of a shattered existence in the water that covers the planet. That water represents all the emotion and consciousness held on the Earth. Once we embrace the powerful energies the ocean has contained all along, we are free to work with the higher dimensional frequencies this amazing archetype has to offer.
Neptune’s frequencies are numerous and constantly changing, allowing us to open to its unlimited possibilities. Neptune’s shape shifting and frequency changes are always available to be experienced by us. When we open our hearts to the limitless realm we come to Know what Neptune’s process can do, which is to move us, through incessant flow, dissolution, and a repetitive wave-like motion, to a new inner space, a new shore line.. A new reality.
In the birth chart the Pisces quality of consciousness is disposed by Neptune. It is where we face the unlimited possibilities available to us, and deal with any fears that arise out of not knowing which path to take or where it will lead. It is here where we put faith in action and trust in the wisdom of our Higher Self.

MakeMake

MakeMake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh – “e” is pronounced “ay”) is the Polynesian name for the Creator God of humanity in the mythology of the South Pacific island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). MakeMake was discovered on March 31, 2005. It has an orbital period of 309 years. So far, MakeMake is the third largest discovered object in the Kuiper Belt after Pluto and Eris. For the time being, it is visually the second-brightest Kuiper Belt object after Pluto. MakeMake is 2/3 the size of Pluto, and it has a tiny moon, nicknamed MK2, estimated to be about 100 miles wide, or about a tenth the size of MakeMake, which is about 870 miles wide.

CERES

Stephanie Azaria & Shelly LealCosmic Consciousness Corner

The Asteroid Belt is a part of our solar system that lies between Mars and Jupiter, and it is made up of many thousands of shattered fragments of a once important archetype (planet). The largest of these asteroids, Ceres,  was upgraded to dwarf planet status on September 13, 2006. On the same day Pluto was ‘demoted’ to the same dwarf planet category. These two archetypes are profoundly connected to each other through the experience of rebirth.

Ceres carries the 5D consciousness of inner midwife because she is the first archetype to be restored to wholeness and undergo her own rebirth. Her presence signifies a certain lifting of the Self out of the ashes (similar to the energies of Pluto). But Ceres is all about birthing us into a new part of our life on Earth, whereas Pluto brings a more metaphysically oriented rebirth.

Discovered on January 1, 1801 by Giuseppe Piazzi, Ceres was named after the Roman goddess of growing plants, the harvest, and motherly love. Ceres is known to the Greeks as Demeter, the mother of Persephone. We know Persephone as Venus. The myth of Persephone ties both  Ceres and Venus to Pluto. The Persephone myth reveals one obvious and immediate facet of Ceres’ archetype: our natural instinct to nurture and protect.

According to the myth, Persephone (Venus) was abducted by Pluto (Hades) and taken to the invisible realm while the young girl was playing outside her mother’s home in the garden. Ceres, the Mother, was so distraught at losing her daughter that she torched the Earth and made it impossible for crops to grow. Hades agreed to allow Persephone to go home to be with her mother for 6 months of the year and to return to the invisible realm for the other 6 months. While Persephone was with Hades in the underworld, Ceres would torch the earth and prevent the crops from growing. This how the seasons, which so powerfully define human life on earth, began.

From the Cosmic Consciousness perspective, Ceres is related to the quality of Emotional Power (Cancer, the Earth Mother). She serves to restore our connection to the mystery and power of Mother Nature.  Her presence points to the place where we will go the distance to reclaim what is rightfully ours: a secure, supported, and celebrated divine inner child. Additionally, Ceres points to the place in our energy field where we can slowly but surely integrate the Mother Earth energy with the new 5D Divine Mother vibration that is now being restored to our consciousness. According to Emily Samet, “There is a focus on children: taking care of the world’s children as well as the vulnerable child within us all. If memories of separation surface, Ceres makes possible the opportunity to view the past in a new light, detached from the immediacy of the moment.”

For now Ceres serves as the only 5D planet that lives inside our inner solar system –that is, she is a part of the consciousness of our personal Self. Because she exists just outside of Mars, she is deeply connected to our physicality. She represents the part of each of us that always has the power to reach into our emotional/physical/mental depths and lifts us up out of the ashes into a new leg of the journey. That new chapter is always related to our physical existence, and once rebirthed, can take on much more spiritual dimension. Her archetypal energies promote a deep, intuitive and transformational quality influenced by the sign and the hour where she appears in the birth chart.

Wherever Ceres is involved, there is a very particular love of the Earth. Ceres is the great nurturer, the inner midwife to all beings going through a major transformation, and that includes our planet. There is a major rebirth going on, and that is everything that Ceres is about. Pluto is the great rebirther, and he delivers us to the transitional moment that we call death, which is actually the Soul’s transitional journey to the invisible realm. Since we no longer have to leave our bodies to undertake resurrection, it seems that Ceres is ever available to midwife us back to the physical embodiment that we are in the midst of. Ceres is a very important archetype when it comes to nurturing life on earth, in all its forms, and Pluto is, of course, the archetype that delivers the soul to wisdom after going through the profound experiences of an incarnation. Ceres is the midwife attending the birthing of the new consciousness.

Uranus

Stephanie Azaria & Shelly LealCosmic Consciousness Corner

Uranus (along with Neptune) can now be considered an ‘inner outer’ planet. With the discovery of all the new Kuiper Belt objects that exist outside Pluto’s orbit, Uranus and Neptune have become the outermost planets of our classical solar system. Hence, they have become the ‘inner outers’.
Discovered by William Herschel on March 13,1781, Uranus was the first planet discovered using a telescope, which at the time was a new technology. It has an orbit of 84 years, changing signs every 7 years. Uranus is the only planet in our solar system that rotates sideways and retrograde on its axis. Because of this slanted revolution, the Uranian axis of rotation is nearly parallel with the plane of the solar system, whereas all the other upright planets have axes that are perpendicular to it.
Uranus’ sideways tilt gives it seasonal changes that are completely unlike those of the other planets. Each season on this planet lasts 21 years. When it nears a solstice, one pole faces the Sun continuously for the entire season while the other faces away. This pole gets around 21 years of continuous sunlight, and at the winter solstice it gets 21 years of uninterrupted darkness. In 2028 Uranus will reach its summer solstice.
In between the summer and winter solstices, the equinoxes occur, each lasting 21 years as well. During these seasons, the days last about 17 hours, and so do the nights. For 21 years the days and nights proceed this way. This is relatively new information, and in typical Uranian fashion it awakens us to a Truth we didn’t see before: Each season on Uranus lasts long enough for the planet to move through three signs. This is a familiar story in Cosmic Consciousness. Each etheric body of the birth chart is made up of three signs, which means that as we humans pass through each quadrant of the Cosmic Clock, Uranus completes a season. There’s a wealth of awakening in that realization.
Referred to as an ice giant, Uranus is the coldest of any planet. It has 2 sets of very thin, dark colored rings, which were first discovered in 1977 (the same year as Chiron). The only spacecraft that has flown by Uranus to date was the Voyager 2 in 1986.
According to mythology, Uranus was originally the king of the heavens. He was born of Gaia (Earth) as she emerged from the primordial Chaos. The Earth and Uranus are lovers and they produced the 12 Titans (planets) among other offspring. Uranus hated his children. Eventually his youngest son Cronus (Saturn) castrated his father and threw his genitalia into the ocean. This effectively separated the heavens from the Earth. For many centuries Saturn has held the archetypal energy of Father. In very recent years Uranus has reclaimed his rightful status as Father of the heavens, indicating that the physical expression of maleness is no longer an essential aspect of male authority. Saturn is losing his status as the father archetype at this time.
Uranus’ archetype makes us aware of the unconscious nature of our outdated ideas and beliefs, and brings them to our attention. His energies shake us loose from misaligned attachments by showing us the Truth. Whether the experience is very intense and totally unexpected, or a subtler intuitive hit, the effect is the same: we are delivered to our Higher Self. Uranus is the conduit for whatever experience we need in the moment, to take us to the next level of our own consciousness.
We experience awakening when the sudden realization that a situation is unworkable and unsustainable comes into our awareness like a lightning bolt. This awakening is occurring now on a massive scale. If we spiral into fear, we manifest discord, adding to the seeming chaos being expressed. As Lightworkers, we take every jolt of new awareness into our hearts, which holds the consciousness of Love, our deepest truths, and our soul’s purpose.
Uranus is symbolized by lightning, which illuminates in an instantaneous flash.  It lights up the darkness, revealing what has been hidden from view. Lightning shocks with its sudden unexpected energy; our electromagnetic systems respond. Once we See, we cannot go back; we have access to new knowledge and awareness that opens the heart and changes us forever.
We cannot think our way to our heart center. We can only get there by lifting the mind to the observer’s perch, where we silently perceive and listen to the heart’s messages that guide us each step of the way.
As the higher octave of Mercury, Uranus’ revelations occur at the mental level, taking the mind to a new awakened place. When we are centered in our heart space, and we feel with the mind (another way to describe intuition), we are experiencing a Uranian function.
When our higher minds are quiet and observant, the intuitive channels embedded in the heart can be accessed, opening us to flashes of insight and guidance. This points to the important function that Uranus plays as the bridge between Mercury and Quaoar. Quaoar is a 5D archetype that represents our newfound capacity to manifest the new world through this awakened intuitive function.
Uranus, as the Great Awakener, has the capacity to put a wrinkle in time; inside one of his lightning flashes that light up the darkness we’ve been in, it is almost impossible to tell whether it’s now, or later, or what. That’s because Uranus awakens us to the Higher Self, where time is a NO-thing. With Uranian influence, we begin to realize that time does not exist at all, it is a mental construct, and it belongs to the realm of Saturn and the lower Self, including the lower mind.
Uranian influence is always a bit ahead of itself. The flash of intuitive awareness it provides always moves us into the future just a little, whether we are conscious of it or not.
