The Sun is in the final degrees of Cancer, with Mercury Retrograde in Leo through Aug 10, inviting you to reevaluate your Self-expression and how you’re showing up. Aside from the usual Mercury Retro tech glitches and mixed messages, it’s time to release old attitudes, ideas and ways of communicating that no longer honor, serve or resonate with your Evolving Self. Release your old stories and practice speaking as your soulful Self rather than through your programming. 

 

July 19 – Sun square Chiron. You may experience an old wound and integrate a familiar (protective) identity by awakening to a new level of awareness, and access the courage to change that sets you free. Anything that limits your Self-expression – fear of rejection, conformity, a need for approval – holds you hostage. This goes with Mercury Retro in Leo. Liberation is joyfully being your Self, without mental editing or apprehension. 

 

July 20-22 – Mars conjunct South Node in Virgo. The call is to drop the need for perfection, knowing all the steps in advance and over-reliance on the mind. The South Node is what you’re being asked to move on from – and in Virgo, it’s an analytical obsession with details, process, or being overly busy. Mars in Virgo on the S. Node can create frustration and burnout by exerting so much effort into every little thing that you miss the big picture. Or maybe there’s something else you’re meant to let go of in the way you’re operating. Go within to ponder what that might be…

 

July 21 – Venus square the Nodes of Fate. Are your values, relationships and desires in conflict with your growth and evolution? The North Node is in Pisces, experiential sign of Being, Oneness, intuition and compassion, is where you’re being called to. 

 

If your values or desires are in conflict with your soul, if you live in your mind or are attached to perfection, you are operating from programming that is Not You. Deconditioning is needed to detach from old patterns so your Authentic Self can emerge. Learning to trust your intuition and embrace the preciousness of who you truly are will alter your perspective and release you from indoctrinated beliefs about your Self and the world. This is a journey worth pursuing…

 

July 22 – Sun enters Leo. This radiant Sun joyfully expresses in its home sign and craves recognition, appreciation and calling the shots in some domain, whether personal, in community, or a public role. Leo is a performer, which is perfect if you’re an actor, professional presenter, or visible in some way. ‘Tis the season to let your light shine by boldly expressing yourself – and if you are called to lead, step up and take your place. It’s also a reminder to play – and if you’ve forgotten how, it’s time to recover your childhood delights and get in the game again. 

 

July 23 – Sun sextile Uranus. This stimulating aspect invites you to express yourself by opening to genius or revolutionary ideas from within and around you. New leaders are emerging and you may be one of them – or you may be shifting who you align with and listen to. There’s a whole new generation of emerging way-showers with innovative ideas, new messages and visions for the future. Allow yourself to shift beyond your old routine, come out of hiding and explore new edges. It’s that time. Uranus just arrived in Gemini and doors are opening to new worlds.

 

July 23 – Venus square Mars. Mars (actions) is conjunct the S. Node and Venus (values) is squaring Mars and the Nodes. Mars is adjusting and Venus is realigning as well, both in response to the Nodes. There’s so much going on in this configuration, but the solution is to tune in to your Inner Guidance to feel the higher expression of anything that is stuck, stale or non-working. This isn’t about linear solutions that you figure out mentally. You are required to rise to a new level of awareness and Being, guided by your heart and soul.

 

July 24 – New Moon in Leo @ 12:11pm PDT. The New Moon in Leo is usually time for new beginnings, but with Mercury Retrograde, we’e in a process of review and pressure, because of heavy Pluto in Aquarius opposing the Sun and Moon in Leo. You can expect power struggles, upheaval or major change, either personally or globally. It may expose hidden agendas, manipulation or covert actions, so tread mindfully and watch your (Mercury Retrograde) words. 

 

As Pluto opposes the New Moon, Saturn-Neptune trine the New Moon, restructuring in a supportive way (Saturn) and activating dreams or confusion (Neptune). Uranus is sextile the New Moon, offering a radical twist, insight or unexpected pathway that leads somewhere new. All this is tremendously fertile and dynamic, so let’s see how it plays out. 

 

What you do depends on where you are in your process. If you are already involved in a new project or direction, see what comes up for you, but if you’re seeking a new beginning, this is a time for attuning, brainstorming, clearing and making adjustments to prepare to move toward your vision. 

 

Write your intentions after the Moon is New and embody the position of the leader in your life, rather than reacting passively to circumstances. You have more creative potential than you may know.

With Uranus in Gemini, the pace of life is accelerating to propel us into a new world. You need to take care of yourself in order to process the multitude of energies that are incoming, as nutritious food, water, rest and movement will support your well being. Choose an area to focus on if you are out of balance and start from there, as Jupiter in Cancer highlights your needs and nourishment…

 

Neptune and Saturn entered Aries on March 30th and May 24th, respectively, while Uranus entered Gemini on July 7. Three transpersonal planets changed signs within months of each other (recalibrating the cosmic playing field), while Pluto made a brief move into Aquarius in 2023 and then returned in Nov 2024 for twenty years. All the outer planets are currently in new territory, upending old systems and structures, forcing us to adapt and regroup as we encounter a new cosmic palette that will inform our consciousness and the landscape. 

 

We just had a Full Moon in Capricorn on July 10, ruled by Saturn in Aries. Saturn Stations Retrograde on July 12/13, following Neptune’s Retrograde in Aries on July 4, with Mercury Retrograde arriving on July 17/18. 

 

Neptune and Saturn Retrograde together in Aries in July and Aug, retracing territory you’ve covered since April and May ’25, before both move into Pisces through for a final sweep in the fall. This can feel like undertow pulling you back as you try to move forward. Or like you’re standing between worlds (the old and the new), not fully in either one 100%.

 

July 11-13 – The Sun trine the North Node of Destiny/Fate. This is a potent time for spiritual alignment, intuitive wisdom, compassion and creativity, as these caring water signs (Pisces-Cancer) support surrender, trust and emotional healing. Be open to a Divine arrival – a person, group or fated event that leads you in a new direction or opens a door for you. Anything is possible; even something wonderful! 

 

July 12 – Saturn Retrograde in Aries @ 9:07pm PDT (July 13 EDT). Saturn will be in Aries through Sept ’25 as it’s backing over terrain traversed since late May. Saturn in Aries activates a new path, project, purpose or focus and this initiation at 1º Aries is meant to activate something fresh, even if you don’t know the whole picture yet. This is a preview of coming attractions that will resume in mid-Feb ’26 when Saturn returns to Aries for two years, and your job is to prepare by doing whatever is needed now. 

 

Think about where you’re going, what you’re doing and what needs to be addressed. Consider any new structures, work or roles you’ve taken on, commitments or responsibilities you are engaged in that are ripe for reassessment and review. Remember, Saturn is the Lord of Karma in that you get back what you put out. And with Neptune in the mix, you can shift from confusion to imagination in order to create a “positive” story if you feel lost or struggling. You have more power than you know – and your mind will follow your dreams if you allow it to.  

 

Self-trust is major during this time of introspection – and if you experience fear that blocks you, your work is to explore and integrate the fear. Don’t assume your fears are protecting you if they hold you hostage. How do you know? If they prevent you from freely taking actions and moving toward your desires, you may have a problem (even if your logical mind gives you good reasons for the fear). Allow yourself to receive support to awaken to anything that’s blocking you during this time. You will be so grateful when you are free!

 

July 17-Aug 11 – Mercury Retrograde @ 15º Leo 9:45pm PDT. Can you freely express yourself, whether via words, art, music, style, cooking, decorating. Recover your childlike sense of wonder and what you did for fun when you were young. Find playmates and give yourself permission to play. Lighten up. Allow a time-out from the mind to shift into your heart to radiate joy. Just a few suggestions to course correct heaviness, inhibitions or seriousness.

 

This won’t be as rough as some of the past Mercury Retros, as it won’t make many aspects. But the usual guidance applies – use this time to slow down, double-check travel details, clear clutter, purge what’s extraneous, organize, communicate clearly, work on projects already begun and avoid major purchases or decisions if possible. There’s more in my free report (click link above). Some people don’t pay any mind to Mercury Retro – and it’s your choice. Follow your own guidance when making decisions about this or anything.

 

I am working with a personal trainer to increase my strength after too many years of sitting in front of a computer and it feels incredible. Even at my age, I am seeing my muscles respond to the training and my intuition says this is an important move. The stronger you feel (inside and out), the more empowered you are – and drink lots of water to fuel your brain, body and system so it can cleanse itself. My dear friend Linda says that not drinking enough water is like trying to run a dishwasher with an inch of water. I love that.

 

Embrace your review, attune to your Inner Guidance for direction, and trust that you are here now on time.  You are in The Turning, a collective shift in consciousness, a threshold era – a liminal time of dissolution and rebirth.

July 4 – Venus conjunct Uranus in Taurus. On the final weekend of Uranus in Taurus, Venus arrives to create a shakeup, a sudden change to a Venus area of your life, either chosen by you or imposed upon you. This can impact what you’ll allow yourself to be, do or have, as an unexpected impulse may burst forth from within, demanding attention, and you may spontaneously change an aspect of a relationship, your Self or your life. 

 

If you’ve been stuck in a rut, this is a fabulous day to stretch and take a walk on the wild side re: creativity, relationships, $$ or anything you love or desire, step out of the box and express your Authentic Self. Example – I recently met a school principal who secretly longs to be a jazz singer. I told her to go sing at clubs on open mic nights or wherever she can. One small step can open new doors… What might you try? 

 

July 4 – Venus in Gemini (through 7/29). Variety is the spice of life as this Venus loves variety, is curious, seeking communication and info. It’s perfect for networking, sharing, writing, dating, creative expression, meet-ups and gathering with others. Whatever you value or love, apply the light, quick, nimble, inquisitive, adaptable Gemini desire for connection to it. Let it be playful and fun!

 

July 4-Dec 10, 2025 – Neptune Stations Retrograde in Aries (until Oct 21), then backs into the final degree of Pisces. For now, you will be integrating shifts that you’ve experienced since Neptune entered Aries in April ’25 – the birth of a new dream. You may not feel it, but it’s operating in the background anyway. 

 

Neptune holds infinite potential, Oneness and All That Is, as it invites you to dream a dream that transcends 3D limitations. Anything that’s in your consciousness is meant for you, even it you can’t see how it’s possible. Keep holding the vision and dream. You will be amazed at what unfolds as you traverse the weeks, months and years ahead if you stay with it. Also, notice any fears or stories that have been holding you hostage and blocking you from moving forward – and be willing to integrate them with support from a helper, if needed. 

 

Spiritual practices are soul food for Neptune, as well as intuitive and creative expression, selfless service and rejuvenation in nature. Keep a dream journal, write stream of consciousness and practice Being. Create an altar and set intentions. Soothe your nervous system with calming, nurturing activities you choose and know that water is healing (a bath, ocean, pool, river or lake). Allow regular space for “down time,” to rest. July 6 – Venus in Gemini sextile Saturn and Neptune in Aries. It’s a good day for socializing, as this friendly Venus is ready to mingle, especially in creative or spiritual gatherings that are supportive and aligned. This could initiate relationships or you may discover a community that inspires you physically, mentally, creatively and/or spiritually. In any event, choose an activity and company that supports you and makes your heart sing.

 

July 7 – Venus trine Pluto. This is about intense conversations in relationships, whether romantic or friends, to get to the truth. Venus in Gemini is light, whereas Pluto is deep, so this can be a passionate connection, being vulnerable, or healing via the heart. Pluto can transform heartwounds if you’re open to it… 

 

Next, Uranus is in Gemini until early Nov ’25, Retrogrades back into Taurus until late April ’26 when it returns to Gemini thru 2033. Uranus rules the higher mind, innovation and revolution, while Gemini rules the mental body, communication and info. 

 

As Uranus, planet of radical change and awakening, moves through Gemini, the collective consciousness undergoes a major rewiring. We can expect breakthroughs in communication (AI), transportation (robots, driverless cars, flying cars), technology and medical breakthroughs (biotech), among other things. 

 

This will also increase the speed and volume of incoming data, which can impact the nervous system, so grounding practices are high priority if you have a tendency to become overwhelmed or stressed due to info overload. We are living in a digital world where speed and tech will increase more than ever in daily life. 

 

The shadow side of Uranus in Gemini is misinformation, social media / email / phone scams and other nefarious creations. I expect the dark side of AI and deepfakes (images that are superimposed on others to influence people) to increase in the near term, as we’re in the midst of a war on info. After all, Uranus will shake up stagnant structures, creating chaos, ultimately to be followed by new innovations. Stay tuned…

 

The next few years will be a time of rebalancing, as we are in an extreme period, as institutions and norms are disrupted. But the outer planets that inform the collective have ALL changed signs within months of each other (Uranus is the finale), while connecting with each other in harmony. We have no reference points for this experience and nobody knows how this will manifest. We are witnessing the unfolding of the future as we’re living this dramatic movie in real time – and the tempo is speeding up!

 

Uranus in Gemini trines Pluto in Aquarius, radical change in harmony with transformation; a powerful flow that instigates a desire for freedom via social movements and power to the people, as well as new solutions and inventions. Uranus sextiles Saturn and Neptune as well, a rare and fertile window for grounded innovations and spiritual evolution. We’ll be talking about Uranus and the outer planets ongoing, but this is the arrival of the final piece of the outer planet puzzle that will create our new world. 

 

July 10 – Full Moon in Capricorn @ 18º at 1:37pm PDT. This is when things come to light or it can be the culmination of things. Capricorn rules your Authority in the world, as well as your Inner Authority. No matter your worldly position, do you trust yourself or do you need others’ approval to feel comfortable with your decisions?

 

Capricorn also represents the structures in your life. Those that are weak or no longer working have likely been affected by the intense energies, forcing you to face any old non-working patterns that you are clinging to. Capricorn rules achievement, responsibility, discipline, deferring pleasure to do what’s needed, long term goals, methodical plans and success. “Just do it,” is Capricorn – and the emphasis is on cleaning up any obsolete structures and patterns in your life, so consider this a check-in. 

 

The Cancer Sun is focused on your needs, Self-care, home, family and issues pertaining to emotional security. Issues around safety and trust are primal, and when those needs are securely met you are much more empowered to operate as your best Self. Also, see if your personal and professional life is in balance and honor your unmet needs wherever possible. That’s your job. 

 

Capricorn is the Lord of Karma (you get back what you put out) or the Great Teacher / Inner Guru. Your productivity is rewarded, but it’s important to have clear intentions and goals or you can direct your efforts toward things that aren’t fully aligned with your authentic desires or soul’s path. Wherever you are, be sure that you’re making deliberate choices and you’re not just operating on auto-pilot.

 

It’s a big week, with Uranus moving into Gemini as the dominant energy. Saturn in Aries will Station to Retrograde on July 13, so that’s the next 

 

Breathe… and keep the faith, as you do your best to stay present and engaged. We each have our own unique roles to play on the earth plane – and the goal is to align your reality with your soul’s vision. 

 

Trust that you are here now on purpose, as a pioneer in this New World. Embrace your path of awakening, as you came here to evolve and grow.

June 27 – This is a quieter week as Neptune prepares to Station Retrograde on July 4, with Mercury aspects occurring this weekend. The Neptunian projection screen is up and may feel subtle this week, as we have no major aspects from June 30 to July 3, but the undercurrent is dissolving boundaries, creating openings and offering illumination depending on where you are.

 

Mercury is your thoughts, communications and how you think and process info. Mercury is in Leo and it wants to be heard and it wants to express itself, creatively and with ideas. 

 

From June 27 – 29, Mercury will trine Saturn, Neptune and oppose Pluto, speaking to info of all kinds – what you see, hear, read and what it means (which is subjective), based on your beliefs and sources. Saturn wants facts and parameters and Neptune blurs boundaries, is creative and can undermine clarity with confusion. Don’t fear confusion, as it can be the breakdown of the “known,” allowing for a new ideas, visions and perspectives to emerge. 

 

June 27 – Mercury trine Saturn. Saturn calls for practical structures, decisions and plans to stabilize your world and help you move forward. Be sure to operate from your Inner Guidance when making decisions, rather than following others if you want to live from your Higher Truth. You can’t create a life that honors your truth unless you trust the inner voice of your Authentic Self (which, for many, is a yes-no feeling).

 

Also, notice if your thinking is evolving with you. If you’re operating in old paradigms and ideas that need a refresh, how can you approach life in ways that are more appropriate for where you (we) are now? Consider what needs updating and where there is resistance to change (internally or externally). Be gentle with yourself, as you will change when you’re ready.

 

June 28 – Mercury trine Neptune. As you seek to stabilize in Saturn (with a direction, decision, plan or next steps), you can utilize Neptune to access your dreams, imagination, compassion, intuition and creativity for inspiration, connecting to higher realms and All That Is. Your dreams may show you how to proceed, as your consciousness ascends to new areas of possibility. You are reconfiguring your path, as Neptune and Saturn embody the Yin and Yang. With Mercury in Leo, you may want to speak, sing, perform or be heard in some other way today; create and do your thing! 

 

June 29 – Mercury opposite Pluto. On the global stage, hidden info will be revealed, but with Neptune in the mix, it may be hard to discern what is true due to mixed messages. Or a dominant Pluto type will suppress and/or withhold info, silencing others, as secrets, hidden agendas, leaks and power struggles are to be expected. 

 

For you, Pluto can dig deep to process unconscious material for healing and can create a breakthrough for a blind spot, if you choose to seek it. Pluto-Mercury is stellar for focus and insight, but avoid verbal sparring and know that if you ask probing questions, the info revealed can be a shadowy truth that was hidden to protect someone. It’s possible to transform old thought patterns if you question your own troubling or stuck thoughts / beliefs, but you have to be fearlessly honest with yourself and open-minded to do it.

 

The next three days, June 30 – July 3, there are no major aspects as we approach the July 4 holiday weekend. 

 

July 4 – Venus conjunct Uranus in Taurus. On the final weekend of Uranus in Taurus, Venus arrives to create a shakeup, a sudden change to Venus areas of your life – your values, how you value your Self, what you allow yourself to be, do or have. Allow yourself the luxury of expressing your authenticity joyfully and receiving the benefits of it!
