New Moon 5 Libra 20

2:27 pm EDT

We have moved with the Pisces/Virgo zoom lens of the September 15 Full Moon where we could examine things from a wide-angle or at a granular level. The Full Moon provided the much needed big-picture perspective (Pisces) while keeping us focused on the need to recalibrate the balance within our four-body energy system (Virgo). This system is comprised of the spiritual body, the mental body, the emotional body, and the physical body. Where the Pisces Full Moon took us to the field of infinite possibilities, our Libran quality of consciousness now rivets our awareness to what we see in the mirror, e.g. everything around us.
At the broadest level, everything we personally experience through our four-body system reflects our individual and collective consciousness. This idea can seem very abstract and not relevant to the here and now. As a mass consciousness, we all agreed upon what our world looks like and what group events we participate in globally and then down to regions, countries, states, communities, families, etc. As individuals seeking Truth we come to realize that everything is a projection of our experience of duality. This can sometimes feel like a bit of a jolt unless we practice mindfulness or use of the observer’s perspective. Think of wind blowing sand on the beach—it can feel gentle or like a sting-but, either way, it definitely gets our attention. The symbol for Libra is the wind, and as such reminds us how transitory things really are.

Full Moon 21 Pisces 04

0:31 am EDT

The New Moon in Virgo on August 30 put front and center any needs of our four-body system: spirit, mind, emotion, and the physical. The Virgo part of our consciousness is ever seeking perfection, down to the smallest detail. We all have this capacity to go deep into granularity. It can become fascinating, and even addictive to examine something in minute detail. We have all, from time to time, become obsessed with replaying a scenario over and over in our minds. At this level of examination, it can be hard to remember who is in charge of the big picture. This is, of course, a signal from the Virgo part of our Consciousness– that there is a need to see which part of ourSelves needs attention for a particular detail to make sense in context. By focusing on one part only—say the mind over the body-we start to misunderstand and misread information we may receive. This is where we can call upon our inner master healer-teacher with the compassion of the Divine Mother to assist us with any adjustments that we want to make.

New Moon 06 Virgo 46

6:37 am EDT

The Aquarius Full Moon on August 15 opened many opportunities for awakening to what is in front of us right now. We all saw where we are most comfortable in choosing either Love or Fear and where our sticking points are. Our first response may have been to draw away and say “no, not that again.” Even if we did this, the Aquarian part of our Consciousness made sure that we were aware that we did this. This is how the game is played with our Selves. Sometimes we get it, and sometimes we do not. The purpose of any meditative or mindfulness discipline is to practice awareness so we proactively “get it” more times than not. Aquarius is all about unconditional Love, and loving ourselves as much at a moment of contraction (fear) as we do during a moment of expansion (Love). We practice these moments over and over again, to the point where we accept the “ah-ha” moment and the “uh-oh” response as two halves of the same coin. It is then we have the currency to consciously manifest new experiences. It sounds harder than it is—we are the only ones who create the sense of difficulty. The Truth is we have these awakenings every day, and we are all-whether we are consciously practicing or not-moving toward the experience of Unity Consciousness. This is why each person is here on this planet, at this time. Practice does make the experience easier, though.

Full Moon 22 Aquarius 24 end of eclipse

8:30 am EDT

We have moved on from the wormhole closure last July 31 with a renewed sense of Self that the Leo New Moon brought to us. It was an empowering moment, and hopefully we all paid attention, if just for a minute. Whether you now feel upright or buffeted by the winds of chaos, the New Moon provided a renewal, regardless. The Sun has this kind of effect—most all things on Earth need the Sun to grow. Think about the first few seconds when we step from shadow into sunlight. There is a moment where we adjust our vision, and our skin –our largest organ-calibrates to the temperature change. It is also when we step into direct sunlight that we see our shadow. This is much better than not being able to make out things that may be lurking in our subconsciousness. When we see our shadow—the response is “Hey there I am.” And this is how we feel when things that are hidden come to light. It’s an “ohhhh…’that’ is what was hiding there” moment.
